I haven't been to Japan to hobby for several years (unfortunately), so I'll add a bit of additional intel that I know of for guys looking for a Japan experience or especially if you are going to be in Japan a lot. As OP said, being in Japan long term/regularly makes it a LOT easier to find a JP GF/sex friend if that's what you are looking for. There's sugar dating sites in Japan that cater to foreigners too. https://en.universe-club.jp/ (I haven't seen girls from there myself but they've been around a while).
The main thing is that Japanese language knowledge opens a lot of doors.
It makes the org feel safer and it makes the provider feel safer that you know the org's rules and the general social rules regarding P4P in Japan (ie, FS shouldn't be expected unless you are visiting certain places like soaplands). You can also read websites to find out what the pricing schedule is, a provider specialty, etc. There's unfortunately still a lot of orgs or providers that won't see certain races of guys, but having language skills really helps with that. I've reached out to several providers from all over Japan on Twitter (in Japanese) to see if they'd meet and there's been some that were known to provide BB that wanted to wear a cover but generally they were all okay with seeing foreigners that spoke/understood decent Japanese (mine is sub-business level).
I liked Tobita in Osaka a lot because you got to actually see what the provider looked like before arranging a date. There's a few streets there known for having very attractive 20-something women, and last time I was there I negotiated BB (finishing outside) with one of them once we were upstairs. They are indeed 'tea houses' where they follow the same useful fiction as soaplands do to get around the prohibition on FS, it's that your waitress meets you and decides to sleep with you. It's one of the pricier P4P options in Japan for the amount of time you get, but it's the Japanese equivalent of a lineup experience and some of the women are really hot.
If you are looking for guaranteed FS outside soaplands in Tokyo, there's a number of orgs that mostly do business in the love hotel area in Uguisudani, which is on the Yamanote line a few stops north of Ueno. They used to be all Korean providers but I've heard a some (most?) of the providers are Japanese women now. There's some dedicated websites for discussion of these places (all in Japanese, naturally). You can just google for 韓デリ (the first character being the Kanji for "Korea" and the other bit shortened for 'delivery'). BB is an option for some of these providers either included in the price or as an upsell.
