Not having any family in China, I look at the border opening as bad, bringing in infected people and "health tourists" sucking up scarce public health resources that poorer HK people rely on who can't use private Drs and hospitals and creating a medicine shortage. I am sure it will be moderated with quotas for a month or so and then a free for all as the quotas end.
It willl, however, bring in more talent and much needed competition, and get places like KP back in business.
