Can Discuz!5.0 perform that function? That said, the karma system was adopted to reward contributors AND show your genuine appreciation to those contributing and thus build bonds with other members. If members who rate are given K, then you got to question their real motive for rating. Is it to show real appreciation or to rate for their own benefit?
It is possible the "view count / karma" ratio for the unrestricted sections is so high because
(1)non-members are also reading the forum. Guests often outnumber Members 10 to 1 (at the time of posting it was 28 members and 249 guests).
(2) the mobile forum doesn't allow rating, and I guess some members use that
(3) the older members in particular are not reading every report that they open and quickly leave once they discover that punt is not their cup of tea. I only rate reports that I actually read (forum fatigue). | |
