Fair question. I've seen M+HE prices rise and rise since the good old days (say five years ago) when you could get a hot and heavy session with an uninhibited Vietnamese girl at a TST spa for $250 + $100 tip. One of my faves was sitting legs wide apart on the couch in the reception area in see-through pantyhose when I last visited. When I was told the standard tip had doubled to $200, I walked out. Halong Bay closed soon after, but tip inflation at rival spas only got worse.
The girls at Moonbeam Village in Hankow, now also closed, and other TST spas used to doff their tops as a matter of course and offered ready access to their b00bs for the standard tip. Now many won't even flash their nipples for less than $300.
How did we come to this pretty pass? It is only natural that the girls will charge what the market will bear. So is the demand so great for extras beyond vanilla M+HE that punters will pay increasingly big bucks for them? When Kama introduced its innovative tips-included deal for $700, it was considered a premium tariff. Now, many think nothing of spending the same or more in run-of-the-mill spas.
That's why I'm curious about the dynamics of the transaction when it's just you and the girl in the room. Some girls declare clearly what each upgrade costs as you come to it. More often than not, however, nothing will be mentioned until it comes time to pay, or some will remind you "give me a tip" while they're performing the service. I am generally respectful of the girls and enjoy achieving a modicum of chemistry with them. But I tip conservatively. Most times the tip is accepted without comment. Once, the girl made it abundantly clear that I had undertipped her after she gave me an unexpected partial massage with her b00bs. Often, the girl will say "It's up to you. Give whatever you like", and I do.
That said, if DATY, a BBBJ or fully nude body-to-body massage is indulged in, a supernormal tip is clearly warranted. And of course, punters are free to do what they like with their money. In aggregate, it does have an impact on the market, though. Just as we only encourage B&S by the HG agents if we acquiesce in that practice, we only encourage greedy spa girls if we routinely tip more than the going rate. Hawaii and some other WC spas have lowered the fees the house charges for a session, so $600, say, for 60 minutes already represents a $350 tip for the girl.
Although these "spas" are a distinct segment of the p4p market in HK, they don't exist in a vacuum. I recently had a great punt with a fair-skinned beauty in Hop Yee and was reminded that for less than $500 you can enjoy a mutual shower, full fingering and a romp in the nude for 30 minutes, sans massage. Not exactly the same thing, sure, although it is uncommon to get the full 60 minutes you pay for at a "spa", but in some walkups (even Coronet Court) the girl has happily gone overtime. | |
