KTV in Shenzhen
I was in a KTV in Shenzhen a couple of months back, I used to frequent KTV's a few times a year in DG but I have not been for a while.
I have a friend of a friend who is American but fluent in Mandarin, there were around 6 of us, all Western staying in Dongguan for the night, we decided on a KTV. After driving around a few places in DG we could not find any with girls (we kinda expected this).
We actually ended up somewhere around Baoan, Shenzhen area.
The girls were OK and they were available for take out for 1000.
We did get cheated but not by much, we almost ended up getting our asses kicked, our friend negotiated the price for 4 hours, 700 each including one girl to sit with you and lots of beer. But when we got the bill (certainly was not even 4 hours) they charged us 900 each. Now my friends friend did not tell anyone, he just told them he was not paying it and paid the original price agreed, we had already gave him our money. So we all left, one of the girls arranged a Didi for us back to the hotel, it was 2am and this place was in a quiet area, it would of been impossible to get a taxi.
So we are standing in the quiet street, waiting for the 2 taxis to come and pick us up. When this guy comes out and starts talking with the friend. After 5 minutes more guys come out, and more, and more.. now my awareness kicks in & I start realising I am in the middle of fuck knows where and theres around 10 chinese guys ready to kick our asses and I do not know why!? Walking a little away so no one gets behind me.. after some huffing & puffing this guy tells us 100 more each. So we all pay and they go back inside. Then our friends friend (Who I do not like now!) explains what happened! | |
