I've been trying to do recon on the HK KTV scene. I've always heard of these places where you can sing, drink and play with girls. So I've been to a couple now, Hero (Wanchai, Korean specialty), NewKaMei (Wanchai, Chinese specialty) and Clubhouse (TST, mixed). I also saw Boss Club (TST, Taiwanese specialty(?)) which I plan on going next month.

The latest KTV place I've been to is called New Fair Lady Club in TST. A simple Google search would get you all the address details.

You get into the elevator and if you're lucky, there would be girls in the elevator going up and down the establishment. This place is huge. I'm talking about 3 floors of rooms. You get escorted into one of these rooms by the mamasan (MMS) and she explains the pricing to you. The cheapest/ most reliable set is 3 bottles of 12yr Chivas for ~$2.7k.

Pricing
Initial price after choosing a girl: $2k for the first hour and 300 per hour thereafter
Takeaway fees: 2k (not including hourly hotel expenses)
Hidden prices: (200 per girl they bring into the room)

Main Event
My friend and I were early so we sat down in the middle of a sofa that could have fit 15 people comfortable. A big TV is perched on the wall and there is an ensuite bathroom too.

The MMS came in and brought 10 girls in. I instantly clicked with the girl, Kat, that sat next to me as she complained about being cold and started holding my hand and touching my leg. The other girls were trying to pry my attention away from Kat by asking me questions and laughing whenever I'd say anything. After 10 minutes, the MMS comes in and asks the girls to wait outside as she asks us for our choices.

I chose Kat and my friend chose this really quiet petite girl who didn't say much during the 10 mins. The entire night was filled with drinking, singing, games, DFK and a lot of flirting. We were there for around 4 hours and started to get tired. My friend was not having fun and so we all decided not to takeout.

The damage for the night was around $6k per person. I definitely wouldn't be going back soon because of the steep pricing. But it really is an experience. This nightclub only has young local hk girls that are dtf.

Apologies in advance if I missed out any details. Give me a shout and I'd be happy to answer questions. I can also post reviews of the other clubs if you guys want. But it's pretty much the same. Although clubhouse was by far the best (I went last Christmas thought).

Question, what's dtf? And the takeaways, thats one shot, one hour? I assume? Any overnight options? And you say their young, like Dongguan heyday, villager special, young(18 - early 20s)? or Taiwan ktv girls young(20-30s)?

2) takeaways... good question, i never really asked. but i assume it would be for the night since it would be around 3/4am when they probably don't have much to do. and by then you should have built enough chemistry with the girl for her/ be drunk enough to go for the night
3) I'd say between 20-25. I think there were a couple younger ones, but I only caught a glimpse of her

Great post, I've never been to that specific KTV, but from my experience most local girls are cock teases and they are not down to fuck. Even  with PRCs, you need to ask the mamasan who can go out and who can not. Usually, the fee to go out is for one shot and not the whole night. Sigh... it makes the whole experience a lot more expensive.

Have fun at the KTVs. In my experience Club 17 has some of the prettiest girls. It's a great time, but they are more eye candy than anything else and it's on the more expensive end.

It's in Tin Hau. Pricing... drinks are a little more expensive than other places. Girls are about ~2400 each session.

2400 for sitting? for how long? or take out? and how young? and local?

It's just for sitting. I haven't gone in a while but it should be for 2-3 hours. The girls are generally young, local and quite attractive. Take out is generally not available though.

I keep wanting to visit these kinds of places, but I don't drink/smoke and mostly travel solo for business when I'm in HK.  Any bros have suggestions on where to meet these kinds of high quality local girls?  Am ok with high price tags.

And you guys should definitely share more reports on the other KTV's especially ones that specialize in other races! Like Hero? and NewKaMei?

I've only been to one HK one before and in my broken canto - some of the girls picked up on this and started speaking to me in english. I wouldn't exactly call them fluent - but some were passable.

@ Slackerrus, the girls are in the early to mid 20's. More GFE but YMMV. I speak to the girls in broken, but passable Cantonese. They haven't switched to English when I've spoken with them so it's good enough.

I agree with dodo. I have mixed feelings but more on the positive side. It's quite fun but it can be an expensive habit.

Not sure where you get the idea that se asia is far cheaper than China. I just finished up in bandung indonesia excursion and realized that better end ktv are just as expensive as better end ktv in second tier Chinese cities. Granted it's just one se Asian city I visited but it was an eye opener since I thought it would be significantly cheaper than China. I visited broadway ktv, bragarave ktv as my primary reference

I agree with stinkyfeet, my only experience is in Singapore, and the high end stuff there. is not very good, and extremely expensive. But, yeah, anybody with other KTV reviews in HK, please share...

Managed to go to aforementioned 17 recently. As reported, girls are great eye candy, the one I had really cute dimples, slim, and really pretty. However, for 3k sitting fee (girls don't generally go out here is what I was told) and 2k for a bottle of whisky, and returning with heightened excitement and no release, it is a waste in my opinion.

like the many before me have stated, the price seems extremely high with no real action.  If I have the money to blow, do you recommend trying this or go get 3 times the action?

I was in a KTV in Shenzhen a couple of months back, I used to frequent KTV's a few times a year in DG but I have not been for a while.

I have a friend of a friend who is American but fluent in Mandarin, there were around 6 of us, all Western staying in Dongguan for the night, we decided on a KTV. After driving around a few places in DG we could not find any with girls (we kinda expected this).

We actually ended up somewhere around Baoan, Shenzhen area.

The girls were OK and they were available for take out for 1000.

We did get cheated but not by much, we almost ended up getting our asses kicked, our friend negotiated the price for 4 hours, 700 each including one girl to sit with you and lots of beer. But when we got the bill (certainly was not even 4 hours) they charged us 900 each. Now my friends friend did not tell anyone, he just told them he was not paying it and paid the original price agreed, we had already gave him our money. So we all left, one of the girls arranged a Didi for us back to the hotel, it was 2am and this place was in a quiet area, it would of been impossible to get a taxi.

So we are standing in the quiet street, waiting for the 2 taxis to come and pick us up. When this guy comes out and starts talking with the friend. After 5 minutes more guys come out, and more, and more.. now my awareness kicks in & I start realising I am in the middle of fuck knows where and theres around 10 chinese guys ready to kick our asses and I do not know why!? Walking a little away so no one gets behind me.. after some huffing & puffing this guy tells us 100 more each. So we all pay and they go back inside. Then our friends friend (Who I do not like now!) explains what happened!

Been to shenzhen and HK KTV quite a few times. Shenzhen ones usually cheaper than HK ones. Sit fee usually 500-700 a night. Some will be offered to take out but will notice you if they do st/lt. usually price per person for a drinking night with girls just sitting is about 1500. Take out fees excluded. Take out probably range from 800 st over 1200-1500 LT.

HK KTV been to a few in Tst. The ones I went to have sitting fee of 700-800 for 2 hours for PRC chicks. Local/Taiwan ones are usually more expensive ranging 1300-1500. Basically you get to drink with the girl and depending of the chemistry with the girl you can get more out of it. Drinks usually are 500/12 bottles of beer. Didn't drink other things as we always drink beer when we go out. Rooms have minimum charge. Usually damage is about 3500 HKD a night just with drinking and about 4-5 hours sitting time.

Cheaper karaoke in Mongkok area usually the bill is about 2000-2500 for the same time but quality of the rooms and chicks is worse. You can get BJ in the rooms. Saw it many times, offered the girls some money to blow my friend etc. girls are more dirty minded in MK area. Usually you can get to ST them about 500 a pop. Either in the rooms upstairs or in an empty KTV room. While the KTV in Tst for take out is a hotel or room upstairs.
