Questions:
1. So it seems like the saunas to visit are Darling 1, 18, Emperor and East? I plan on going for either 5days - 7 so I want to experience as much as I can (have a good bit of spending money too)
Aside from the Saunas, you may wana check out the WGs at the old Casino Lisboa racetrack located at the basement of the casino hotel. They look gorgeous but expensive for quickie services.
Another are those WGs in between the street of The City of Dreams and The Venetian soliciting their services.
2. Hotels are confusing me, I read alot of good hotel recommendations but they seem to not be in the Macau area? and in order to get to the macau area I have to commute? I was wondering what are some actual good hotels in the Macau area that are at least 3 stars but only $100usd or less. (in fact, what's the Cheapest place to stay that isn't a shithole)
Use the online booking sites like booking.com and agoda.com to search for value for money hotels in Macau.
Prices get a lot more expensive during weekends (Thurs, Fri, Sat).
I suggest you stay 2 nights at the hotels in Macau City and the other 2 nights at hotels in Cotai.
3. People have stated you can Sleep at the saunas so you don't have to get a hotel? but then what about all your stuff? (laptop, clothes, luggage, etc)
4. When I go into the sauna and strip and leave everything, what about my wallet, phone, and contents? How do I know all that stuff is safe?
It's not comfortable sleeping in saunas since you got cash to burn, better get a hotel room.
While in Saunas, they provide lockers to keep safe your personal belongings.
Your stuffs are always safe since it requires you plus the reception to open up your assigned locker using the electronic band they provide you.
5. I will be taking my unlocked Iphone 5, so when I go there, I plan on just using a cell service over there, is it easy to get a simcard and service over there quickly?
You can buy prepaid simcards at the convenience stores.
6. where do I convert my USD dollars at? I know in bangkok, apparently you didn't wanna do it at certain places cause they would rip u off
7. should I just bring cash/use cash, or is using Credit card ok? (like for hotel purchases, food purchases, etc)
There are many money changers along the streets of Macau though you can have your US$ changed at the airport.
Of course it's better you have lots of cash on hand with a credit for emergency use.
8. When taking taxis, is writing the address down in english and showing the taxi cab going to work? I know that use to work in Bangkok sometimes.
Macau will be more enjoyable by feet since those Saunas are almost near one another and Macau has many free shuttle rides provided by various Casino Hotels to attend to many tourists.
If you plan a 7 days tour, better take a side trip to Hong Kong as Macau will be very expensive to stay long and enjoy to the max.
Another thing is you may be tempted to gambling which may also ruin your stay.
GoodLuck!
