Not overthinking at all. I merely responded to your post about laughing at people who are only planning ahead, whether warranted or not.
If you truly understood it, you wouldn't laugh.
I didn't call you foolish, I said, "it is foolish to laugh at people who are planning ahead". If that is what you do, then make your own conclusions.
Your statement that you have experienced many many typhoons and it is the same every time merely belies what I posted. It is not the same every time, some are far more deadly than others, and over the years, it has only gotten more intense.
The last typhoon that occurred, I know of many people who were stranded for a week, with water waist and neck deep. Offices were at a standstill for a week. Cars floating away. A massive tree fell on my friend's house and missed him and his family by no more than 10-15 meters.
These typhoons move towards China and Hong Kong, and one of these days it will intensify instead of weakening, and then you will see why people do what they do.
Typhoons are always the same, is like saying that earthquakes are all the same. =) | |
