My Chinese friend always denies everything strongly to his wife. When they were first married she used to try to catch him. One time she found a name card of a mamasan from a nightclub in China. My friend kept insisting that it was just drinking and a show but she didn't believe it. She insisted that he take her and she called the mamasan to make reservations. My friend insisted I come with him as he thought it would be easier if he wasn't alone with her.
That mamasan must have had a lot of experience. We arrived and she sat us in a public area of the night club. The manasan made sure there were no club girls to be seen. I had been there with my friend before a few times and those times there were girls all over the place. There was a show and we had some drinks. His wife tried to talk to the mamasan and the mamasan acted shocked when asked about if there were club girls there. I was very impressed.
Finally she gave up and we left.
After a few years she stopped trying to catch him at anything. One time she talked to me about it when we were alone. She asked me what we do when we go to clubs, I told just have some drinks and talk about men things. She said that she knows he gets club girls, but now she is older she realizes it is better if she doesn't see it doesn't get proof, so sometimes she sees proof and she pretends she doesn't see it and just tries not to think about it. That is better than always making herself crazy trying to catch him and anyway he always comes home after he finishes and her life is good besides that so it is better to just live with it like that.
She never brought up the topic to me again and I never told my friend she said that.
