File recovery

I use "Recover4All", which saved some important files a couple times (Windows). It's teaseware - the free version will show you what it would be able to recover, but not recover it. I paid up, and keep a copy of it on my laptop and a memory stick, just in case. Kinda expensive, but hey, worth it when you need to get a pix back.

And don't be a jerk - if she wants it deleted, make sure you keep it private. Best way I've found is to use "TrueCrypt" to make an encrypted partition. That way, even if someone steals your computer, the records never become public.

I just joined this forum, after lurking for years. Thanks to the people who run it - I love it, and the work you put into it. Hope someday to get enough karma to see the "good" pix. Having to censor the public pix (to keep your government censors happy?) takes a little fun away.
