Alleged Russian spy Anna Chapman in topless photo scandal
• Topless photos show alleged Russian spy
• Salacious details of her sex life made public
TOPLESS photos allegedly showing Anna Chapman, the glamorous Russian socialite accused of spying in the US, have been published along with salacious details of her relationship with her British ex-husband.
In a candid interview with UK tabloid News Of The World, Alex Chapman - married to Anna Chapman between 2002 and 2006 - admitted he was "infatuated" with the 28-year-old suspected undercover agent after meeting her at a London party in 2001.
"The sex was great and she had this incredible body," he said.
"It was more about lust at first. I hadn't met anybody like her before."
The artist and trainee psychiatrist, 30, revealed several explicit photos of his former wife posing topless, said she wielded a whip while in bed and added that the couple joined the "Mile High Club."
"Anya (Anna Chapman's Russian name) was great in bed and she knew exactly what to do," he said. "She also liked posing for pictures. I took one of her topless first thing in the morning. I said to Anya, 'go on, get them out!' and I took a picture of her with only a bit of duvet over her. She laughed about it."
The flame-haired beauty continued to captivate the British press, with a topless photo of her also appearing in The Mail - her modesty protected by miniature hammer and sickle motifs.
Alex Chapman told the newspaper he spoke to his former lover on the phone after she was arrested last week for her alleged participation in a Russian espionage ring in the US.
"I rang her because I was extremely worried about her," he said. "She answered and I immediately recognized her voice although she sounded utterly drained.
"She just said 'So much has happened ... but I would prefer you not speak to people about me for a couple of weeks.' I said I was sorry about her father's name being linked to (Soviet intelligence service) the KGB and she kept on saying, 'Don't worry, don't worry.'"
Anna Chapman's lawyer Robert Baum told a bail hearing Saturday that his client was "very frightened" by jail and was embarrassed by details of her private life which emerged over the past few days.
"The truth is, she is probably no different from your typical single 28-year-old woman in New York City," he told the court.
"She runs a successful business, goes out at night. She dates men, enjoys a social life."
But Anna Chapman was also described in FBI court documents as a practised deceiver.
British security service MI5 was reportedly trawling her network of contacts in the UK today over fears she may have recruited a network of sub-agents or sleepers before she left Britain in 2007.
