Alleged Russian spy Anna Chapman in topless photo

Alleged Russian spy Anna Chapman in topless photo scandal
        •        Topless photos show alleged Russian spy
        •        Salacious details of her sex life made public
TOPLESS photos allegedly showing Anna Chapman, the glamorous Russian socialite accused of spying in the US, have been published along with salacious details of her relationship with her British ex-husband.
In a candid interview with UK tabloid News Of The World, Alex Chapman - married to Anna Chapman between 2002 and 2006 - admitted he was "infatuated" with the 28-year-old suspected undercover agent after meeting her at a London party in 2001.
"The sex was great and she had this incredible body," he said.
"It was more about lust at first. I hadn't met anybody like her before."
The artist and trainee psychiatrist, 30, revealed several explicit photos of his former wife posing topless, said she wielded a whip while in bed and added that the couple joined the "Mile High Club."
"Anya (Anna Chapman's Russian name) was great in bed and she knew exactly what to do," he said. "She also liked posing for pictures. I took one of her topless first thing in the morning. I said to Anya, 'go on, get them out!' and I took a picture of her with only a bit of duvet over her. She laughed about it."
The flame-haired beauty continued to captivate the British press, with a topless photo of her also appearing in The Mail - her modesty protected by miniature hammer and sickle motifs.
Alex Chapman told the newspaper he spoke to his former lover on the phone after she was arrested last week for her alleged participation in a Russian espionage ring in the US.
"I rang her because I was extremely worried about her," he said. "She answered and I immediately recognized her voice although she sounded utterly drained.
"She just said 'So much has happened ... but I would prefer you not speak to people about me for a couple of weeks.' I said I was sorry about her father's name being linked to (Soviet intelligence service) the KGB and she kept on saying, 'Don't worry, don't worry.'"
Anna Chapman's lawyer Robert Baum told a bail hearing Saturday that his client was "very frightened" by jail and was embarrassed by details of her private life which emerged over the past few days.
"The truth is, she is probably no different from your typical single 28-year-old woman in New York City," he told the court.
"She runs a successful business, goes out at night. She dates men, enjoys a social life."
But Anna Chapman was also described in FBI court documents as a practised deceiver.
British security service MI5 was reportedly trawling her network of contacts in the UK today over fears she may have recruited a network of sub-agents or sleepers before she left Britain in 2007.

Ok let me get this straight, he calls and says he worried about her. She even tells him to not talk about her for a couple of weeks. And then what does he do...sells topless pics of her!

Ah yeah, you were really worried there Mr. Chapman.

If she really is a spy, then I think its a tactical move to divert attention from her spying suspicions so as to diverge the allegations away from her true profession.

The most basic lesson in spying is to fly under the radar. Most successful spies are grey little men leading grey little lives, James Bond is entertaining nonsense.

There is no way in hell her Russian handlers would have approved of anything like this which would raise her profile. She obviously had genuine affection for the guy and I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if they orchestrated the break up of the marriage.

That may exactly be the common route for the rational human brain. This could be why they pull off a stunt like this in the first place! There is always an advocacy of a belief or behavior that is opposite to the one desired, with the expectation that this approach will encourage the subject of the persuasion to interpret what is desired: the opposite of what you have suggested. Thereby, following your interpretation, you are already fooled. Or am I...?

Lets just say, a spy is very cunning!

If she had genuine affection for him, I'd think she's more than a little pissed off at him now.

Now I wonder if he is on anyone's hit list hmmmmm....

I don't think we should be proliferating photos of this person. The most common thing on the internet is topless photos of Russian women, if you want to see Russian tits there are hundreds of thousands of others you could look at.

Who cares if she was a spy? The FBI say's she was a practiced deceiver?  Welcome to the club! That makes her the same as about 99% of the other women out there! The FBI themselves are practiced deceivers!

Even though she hasn't yet been convicted of anything, her name has be dragged through the mud and naked pictures of her have been published. I'm sure her business has been destroyed, and if it turns out the FBI is wrong, there will be no way to fix the damage that has been done.

Any way you slice it, for the purposes of our forum, she's a civilian, and should fall under the same rules as girlfriends, non-WGs, non-celebrities, and other non-sex workers: we shouldn't be posting naked pictures of her here.

She has been publicly outed in the media as a Russian spy, this gives her celebrity status no matter how unworthy we may think her qualification.

The FBI wouldn't make such an extraordinary claim without some pretty impressive proof, but if she has been wrongly accused then she can look forward to a truckload of cash when she sues in the courts.

Personally I think the cash and public sympathy that would flow from such a public acquittal would more than make up for having her very fine tits being put on the internet.

I grudgingly concede the point that she's an unwilling celebrity now, although I still don't think we should encourage the bad behavior of the media that published her photos.

On the point about the FBI, I'd have to guess that you haven't run afoul of law enforcement personally. Once you have you'll start assuming that EVERYONE that they arrest is completely innocent UNTIL they're actually proven to be guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt in court. And maybe still even after they're convicted ;-)

I don't think she'll ever be compensated for what's been done to her, and if she's acquitted, I suspect the last thing she'll want to do is go back to court to spend years seeking damages. Her reputation has been DESTROYED for life, and even after an acquittal she'll have a hard time getting anyone to do business with her again.

If she's like any business person I know, she won't want to be given cash, nor will she want public sympathy. She'll want to be seen as a competent, self-possessed executive that's in control of her own life and her company. It will be a LONG time, if ever, before anyone will she her in that light again. If she's innocent, there isn't ANYTHING that could make up for what's been done to her in the press, on the internet, and by the FBI.

Considering that we're not willing, not likely, to compensate her for posting her photos if it turns out we're wrong about her, I think we shouldn't be promoting this. The old saying is, "put up or shut up", an since we're not going to do the former, I suggest we do the later.

I guess if the Russians are willing to swap her and the others, then there can't be too much doubt about her guilt.

There is a video attached to this article in which the mother of Anna Chapman discusses her desire to launch a court case against the newspapers who have published pictures of her from Facebook, etc. Doesn't take long these days before people start ringing the lawyers or in this case go on TV and start canvassing for a suitable ambulance chaser.

No mention made of suing over the use of the nude picture presumably because it belonged to the boyfriend and he sold it to the papers

Russian spy claims swap in works for spies in US
July 8, 2010 - 9:45AM

The Cold War-style intrigue over a reputed spy ring nabbed in the United States is deepening with word emerged of a possible scheme to swap Russians who hid in American suburbia for an imprisoned arms-control researcher and others who passed secrets to the US.
Dmitry Sutyagin says his brother Igor, who is serving a 14-year prison term, was told he is among convicted spies who are to be exchanged for Russians arrested by the FBI.
Officials from both the United States and Russia refused to comment on the claim, but Dmitry Sutyagin said his brother could be whisked off to Vienna and then to London for a planned exchange as early as Thursday.
In the US, American officials met with the Russian ambassador in Washington and a hearing for three alleged spies was cancelled in Virginia. They were ordered to New York along with two other alleged spies who waived their right to a local hearing in Boston.
The other five defendants were already in custody in New York.
Igor Sutyagin was told by Russian officials that he and other convicted spies are to be exchanged for the 10 Russians arrested by the FBI last month, his brother said. US officials were also at the meeting held Monday at a prison in Arkhangelsk, in northwestern Russia, his brother said.
The spy swap, if confirmed, would continue a pattern of spy exchanges began during the Cold War. In one of those most famous cases, downed US U-2 spy plane pilot Francis Gary Powers was exchanged for KGB spy Colonel Rudolph Abel in 1962.
Sutyagin said he was forced to sign a confession, although he maintains his innocence and does not want to leave Russia, his homeland, his brother said.
The Russian Foreign Ministry and the Federal Penitentiary Service said they had no comment on the claim and a spokesman for the US Embassy was not immediately available for comment.
Sutyagin, who worked as an arms control and military analyst at the Moscow-based USA and Canada Institute, a top think tank, was arrested in 1999 and convicted in 2004 on charges of passing information on nuclear submarines and other weapons to a British company that investigators claimed was a CIA cover. Sutyagin has all along denied that he was spying, saying the information he provided was available from open sources.
His case was one of several incidents of Russian academics and scientists being targeted by Russia's Federal Security Service and accused of misusing classified information, revealing state secrets or, in some cases, espionage.
An 11th suspect in the spy ring, Christopher Metsos, was arrested in Cyprus last week, but disappeared after being released on bail, triggering a manhunt by embarrassed Cypriot authorities.

I saw an interview with Anna Chapman on TV two days ago and she looks much better now than she did in the nude photos which were taken nearly 10 years ago. This Alex Chapman is a scumbag though and no longer talks to the press directly as he has now hired a publicist.

I guess we'll never know. Everyone involved is still claiming to be innocent, and neither government is talking to the press.

If a foreign government has incarcerated US citizens they'd consider a trade to get them back. It doesn't make them guilty of what they were accused of.

Ah he doesn't really care about her, he gets his 10 minutes of fame, some cash for the pics. And of course if they proceed on the spy allegations, he'll find his way in writing some book about bedding a hot spy.
