HK Age of Consent??

Just a question as i've seen some ads in HK and not understanding chinese, what is the age of consent in HK, is it below 18?

the age of consent is 16 . however the age for working in adult entertainment industry is 18. ive seen adds for girls lately as young as 14 and a lot at 16.  17. I would be very wary approaching these as it is technically illegal to pay a 16 year old to work in the adult industry and if there was a raid and you was there it would be very bad news.  as per the agent on TG offering younger I think the adds are possibly fake I hope they are as seen same pics saying the girls are older.    anyway a few of the younger posts have been reported to TG but they don't seem to remove them.

Yeah I was baffled when I saw the ages, thought maybe I was understanding it wrong. Definitely a shock and a red flag. Is it normal in HK for people to be looking for that?

Anal sex has different consent ages in Hong Kong - per community legal advice centre:

"Buggery with a girl under the age of 21 is an offence contrary to section 118D of the Crimes Ordinance (Cap. 200). The maximum penalty is life imprisonment.



“Buggery” is sexual intercourse by way of penetration of the anus by a penis.



Section 118D makes buggery with a girl under 21 years of age an offence. The offence is committed where there is penetration of the anus by the penis. The slightest penetration is sufficient, ejaculation is not necessary. Whether there has been penetration is a question of fact.



Whether or not there is consent to the buggery is irrelevant. Provided penetration is proved and the girl was under 21 years of age at the time, the offence is committed."
