Cheap electronics and free Wi-Fi???

I heard some place in Kowloon and Wan Chai sells good quality, cheap electronics? Where are those again
and is there another place that sells good quality, cheap electronics?

I also heard that the tailors are cheap and good. Who would you recommend for a custom made jacket? Has to be Black with
Fushia trim and skulls and fushia colored stars on it. How long would it take for the jacket to be complete? How much would it
cost me?

Where is there reliable, free Wi-Fi so I can IM my wife back in the states on my Ipod Touch? Can I get a Iphone for cheap over there and use over in the states?

You can get 'free' wi-fi from mcdonalds and some starbucks + pacific coffee.

Of course you need to make a purchase but then u can ask for the password from the counter.

Thank you for that information. There is NO ( FREE ) wi-fi at Starbucks in Japan. That really sucks. They are next to impossible to find. Totally different from the rest of the world.

TST is a good place to buy a suit, there are dozens of options. I use William Cheng - 38 Hankow Rd TST, however many choices. What you need to know is that most of the tailors in HK use a handful of manufacturers to produce for them. That may lead you to ask "so if there is little difference, why not just go for the cheaper price?" the answer is that different tailors have different production specifications. More or less features, better fabric, lining, trims, patterns etc. So the same sewing team but not necessarily the same quality in the end. When you find a tailor you like, stick with them. That has been my experience.

For the electronics, do not, REPEAT do NOT buy from TST if you want a bargain. Mong Kok is way cheaper and Bros have already posted good suggestions above.

Make sure you know EXACTLY what you want BEFORE you enter a shop. Their strategy will be to get you in and price what you are looking for at a very low price that interests you and gives you the impression they are well priced. Then they will regrettably tell you  that item is out of stock... they will check if more stock is available but unfortunately for you it is a "discontinued model" and so no more stock and hard to get service parts etc. However... YOUR LUCKY DAY because they do have the NEW model in stock, and whilst it's somewhat more expensive it is the new model and has way more features... plus you need a spare battery, stand, case etc. In the end you will walk out totally confused having spent twice what you intended... BEWARE. I am lucky I was explained how things work before hand however  I have so many friends who have fallen for this.

While some of the bros have already given suggestions about a tailor, you might want to review one of the previous threads here:

The site is not an online store. Its just a forum for people to let others know the latest prices of goods available in Hong Kong

Leyxia. Write something constructive or don't write at all. What you have written has NOT helped anyone on this forum.

to answer a few more of your questions.

unlikely any tailor will have "Fushia trim and skulls and fushia colored stars". If you are serious about wanting that, ask the concierge of your hotel to write down the instructions on how to get to the Sham Shui Po fabric market. You may find the kind of fabric you are looking for, if not you will find appliques and motifs you can use... you just need to be prepared to look long and hard. Before you go there, settle on your tailor, show him a sketch of what you plan to do so he can tell you how many yards of fabric you will need.

For wifi, Google PCCW in HK. It's not free but it's very cheap.

Re iPhone: Apple products are about the same price. Fakes you can get cheap but not the real stuff.
