I came too late to the game and missed out. Was it really amazing? Is there anything left that would make it worth a trip?

DG at it's peak was amazing. Go read some of the old sexguide reports. Changping used to have clubs with 300 girls, it was impossible to choose. As a gweilo I used to just look for the ones who were making eye contact and smiling, there were plenty. Had a fair share of white tigers, red ropes, best anal ever with a girl that was maybe 20 and not a hair on her body. Fuck man, now I'm depressed...

Not sure if Macau is still going haven't been there in several years, but the spas there are the closest I could think of.

Answering My Own Question

I went over to the International Sex Guide forum, and found a summary of what happened on February 9, 2014 by Ikksman.  I'm going to copy the contents of his post here, because it's very informative.

Today (9th February) is the 4th anniversary of the infamous prostitution crackdown in Donnguan when more than 6,500 police officers (from out of town) raided hotels, spa, massage parlours, BBSs and basically ended Dongguan's days as the sex capital of China.

By mid April, fallout* from the Dongguan crackdown included:

• 2,925 hotels, sauna and massage centres closed.

• 200,000 sex workers out of work.

• 600,000 other workers associated with the sex industry out of work or suffering serious loss of income (club staff, hairdressers, manicurists, taxi drivers etc etc).

• 50 billion yuan*of the local*economy lost.

• Liang Yaohui deputy in the National People Congress (and owner of Crown Prince Hotel) arrested.

• 9 police officers in criminal detention, 13 facing disciplinary action, 14 under investigation.

• Dongguan Deputy Mayor and Head of the local PSB, Yan Xiaokang, sacked.

• Dongguan mayor claiming he "didn't know the problem was so bad".

• 865 arrests.

• 541 pimps smacked.

• 62 criminal rings busted.

• 854 pornographic websites closed.

Sadly GG, it's just marketing. There was a website (hosted in England I think) that had the whole list of what they were supposed to do for real DG, but I found this one that's similar but not exact.

It was really just 90 minutes of being treated like you were a king. Rubbed anywhere, massaged by all her various parts to enjoy the different sensations, probed and sucked. I've never felt so completely relaxed and drained in my life than after a DG session. The fucking was almost an afterthought.

I'm sure other bros are better able to describe it. Because I don't speak Chinese I'm sure I missed out on some good parts.

I wish I could have experienced DG too. I think that my dad used to go. I remember hearing my parents talking about taking trips there from HK. Dad did mention KTVs and barber shops, but being an ABC I just thought it sounded lame and boring. Little did I know he probably was out there living it up! I do remember them not going anymore some time after 2014 so now I know why!

If only we had a time machine!
