Been here for an whole week so far. This is my third trip to the Philippines every time I stay for an whole month so I am not an expert but I can say I have experience here. Everyone here speak English so that an huge PLUS so my advise is to turn around and just go somewhere else. Even after having my smartphone stolen and no insurance on it I would still rather go back to Vietnam than here. Gonna go to Davao and Cebu and give this place another chance before I give up on it.
Sidenote comparing Vietnam and Philippines.
Hotel and store goods are about the same price.
The internet and phone service COMPLETELY SUCK in the Philippines and expensive. Vietnam about 20dollars and unlimited everything for an month.
The transport service suck in the Philippines and they are always trying to scam ya. Good news you can actually walk here and cross the street safely.....that because no one gonna run you over when traffic so bad that everyone stuck in traffic. Also grab bike is so way cheaper in Vietnam.
The food is way better and cheaper in Vietnam like really street pho for less than an dollar and taste great. The food is like half the price in Vietnam than here in Philippines. Also love the fresh cut fruit carts in Vietnam. Fresh coconut cost 50cents in Vietnam and I just bought an fresh coconut for about 2.50 USD in Philippines.
I honestly prefer the girls in Vietnam they seem nicer and fairer skin. Yes I like lighter color skin that my preference.
If you are an older gentlemen and white this would be great place for you. Very common for young girls to date older foreigner. Even better if you an young fit white dude the girls will come chasing ya non-stop.
Pretty much the Philippines is an slum country.
