I'm writing to apologise to all bros who write reports for not giving ratings.
I completely misunderstood this system. I thought the ratings were given by the moderators. I guess I must have missed the original announcement and it wasn't until I researched it that I found that anyone above Lord can give ratings and how to do it. I feel really stupid! I should have read more carefully who was giving ratings and noticed that they were not all mods.
I recently remarked that my reports weren't getting ratings and now I know why. I guess It is because I haven't given a single rating to anyone in the past.

You haven't received a single rating?  You have made a lot of good reports and they have been exemplary.  If you haven't received any ratings, I would say that we have somehow overlooked and taken your reports for granted.  Don't let that bother you bro, keep up the good reporting.

We give points to most of the reports.

Not that it is not interesting or we do not appreciate, sometime we just missed out or forgot.
On overall, most of the Kings' reports all higly rated and serve as good reference to readers.
It is not because you haven;t given a single rating to bros. In fact, if you do not mention it, I do not even realise.

Personally, the only time I do not give rating is when the report is shitting/bluffing all of us and written in a way nobody can understand. There are some bros who always do this but yet very entertaining, so negative rating may not be necessary unless it meant to shut them up.

So yes, keep in coming.

But I do agree that we need to set a Karma Rating system for report/post.

Earlier mths when we do not have enough senior bros who can give rating, higher points +2 and above were given on behalf of the forum.
But now even the Bros with LORD status can also give rating, which seems reasonable to share the karma points across.

Anyone want to suggest the rating system?

Does rating/karma affects RA?

if so, should give higher ratings/karma to people who write reports.

e.g.  
+10 for a report
+20 for good report
+30 for excellent report with photos

in this way...
a person who writes 10 reports gets promoted faster than a person who posts 100 "Thanks for report!" posts!
this should motivate more outfield reports!

Siklong69, I thought I was giving you ratings for your reports ... but must say recently I've been giving them mostly
to newer members so as to encourage them to post more.

Your reports have always been excellent and easy to read !  so my apologies if I missed giving you ratings.

On the other hand, I hope more senior bros here would start giving ratings if the see good or bad posts !

Each bro with different status will have limited Karma to give every 24 hours.
Mod has the max and even FL only have 50 to give per day.

so imagine u get > 5 good reports per day. Not enough to give away.


So I suggest:

  
+1  For an average report

+2  For a good report

+3  For an above average /entertaining report

+4  For a superb/excellent/extraordinary report

+5  For an average / good report with real photos

+6  For an above average/entertaining/superb/excellent/extraordinary report with real photos

+7 to +10  For a report with Videos, also need to asses the quality of the writing!!!!

+11 to +14  You Cum/jerk reading the report.

+15  You Cum/jerk twice reading the report.


Negative Karma Points - At discretion of bro but shld only be used when necessary. So far we still do not have report with negative rating, so as we go along, we will have good examples of bad/fake report.


At the rate of current bros posting and participation, we shall have more bros upgrading their status very soon and able to rate the reports.

But to all bros receiving compliments on their report, please understand that each bro will rate and give karma points differently. So to each own. Please do not get discourage or discontent when a bro give a lower rating than another. Each point is encouragement to all.

Mods and all bros, any other suggestion on the rating, welcome.

btw, how much karma points per day for conqueror, lord and King status?

Siklong - I think many of us take for granted those who post on here regularly, so don't feel bad!

When I make Lord, I'll give you karma points!...but you might have to wait awhile!

what is use of getting ratings? Does it gives any extra benefit?

(Pretty sure I remember these right)

I'm sure I have a few reports that need grading ;)

Increases your karma rating and allows you to get promoted the the next rank a little quicker.  Less important the higher rank you are, most important for newbies to members I guess to get the benefits of RA access level 20 and above posts and gives you more credibility in your posts.
