Tipping

I have picked up from reports that 50 or 100 dollars is standard tip. Is this right? If I am paying $420 for the punt, what shoudl I tip for

Your discretion , when the exchange rate was better (ie £1 = $2.10 USD and thus $16 HK for £1), I would tip an enourmous amount as it was in effect pennies, now the £ has slid 26% in 4 12 months vs the US$ (which the HKD is pegged to) I tip less usually about $100-$50 if its good.

Damn... puff, you tip too much. Usually I tip 30-50 on average, unless she is exceptional, I will drop 80-100... nothing more. Anything over 100 is ridiculous in my book, especially in HK. Although I normally drop 20 USD when I am hooking up with a Korean WG and 10-20 USD when working with other Asians, it's the norm here, but I have friends who live in HK who normally tip 20-40 max, but then again, they go every single night.

What about tipping in places like KP? Is it acceptable? And if so how much is acceptable without getting into trouble from the mamasans/papasans? I read somewhere that it wasn't allowed or tipping too much could get you into trouble

first time i had a working girl in them mong kok brothels, i tipped her 300! i know this is way too much but i just felt like it at that time!

anyways, was wondering, how much do you normally tip a massage girl at those vegetarian places???

i went to lotto sauna in wanchai, and the girl told me she only gets paid from tips and wanted me to tip her more if i enjoyed her session!

i disnt know if its true or not but i ended up tipping her 200! tipped the towel guy 20

then receoption guy also wanted a tip

all in total i spent about 700-800 i think!

is this the norm?? or have i been conned?? i thought if the menu says 2 hours for 300-400 then thats all i had to pay????

Veggie saunas ... tiping is a must (unless she did a really bad job)

Normally one should tip according the number of 45 min periods one does ...

If the massage was so so a $50 tip per period is acceptable
if the massage was good then $100 per period is the norm.

That seems high.

I always have a double session in a veggie and it would push the bill from $450 to $650, plus tips for the other staff.
