Has Dongguan returned to former glory?

It’s been a while since I saw a report out of Dongguan. Has the city returned to its former glory? I guess the better question is whether will the City return to its former glory? Ever since the crackdown in 2014, the cities have not been the same. Does anyone know of any hotel FS sauna that are still operational?

I don't foresee anywhere in China going back to the glory days of pre-crackdown DG.
1.  Government doesn't like bad publicity,  DG was internationally notorious for it's punting. For a government that has prostitution, drugs, and gambling as its big three no nos.... It's a smear against them.
2. Fun can still be had in DG and other parts.... It's just less obvious now. 500 girls at flower market is wayyyyy obvious. So scratch that.
3. Hotel "spas" didn't even have spa facilities. Places need to at least gently veil their purpose.

So yes... Fun can still be had. Even in DG. But glory days? I doubt it.
