hongkong.cracker.com...anyone try this?

It's interesting to look at:

http://hongkong.cracker.com/FemaleEscorts/?layout=gallery

There's new girls added every few minutes. It's obvious that many are pix stolen from the Internet, and most of the site is pure fakery. Glam shots of attractive women, often with no nationality, sometimes claiming they're from Estonia or Slovenia, even some duos, all manner of clickbait.

However there are a few on there with websites listing the sort of rates you'd expect (high) and some not-so-great pix of what seem like real providers who don't really know how to create an advertisement. We know that WeChat arrangements and other freelancer bait in Hong Kong is bait-and-switch at best, and I expect cracker (there's a Macau version too) to be much the same.

However. Some of the European girls list rates at HK$3000/hour which is what you'd expect to pay. We know that Eastern European women travel here and work in hotels and walk-ups. I'm sure if you made a booking a European woman (probably not the one in the photo) would turn up expecting that cash.

A lot of questions here: many will come to your hotel or apartment, and how secure is that, especially for the lady? Not to mention that if you do invite someone over to your place they're going to know the address and be able to scope your possessions. I don't know. But we know there's freelancers around, they need to give punters a pitch somewhere, and here's this site. It's not all that different from "Seeking Arrangement" now is it?

The Macau site seems more actual than the Hong Kong version, but Macau is more of a buyers' market once you get past the saunas. But I look at some of these pix and think: the chances of THIS particular female being available for paid sexual congress are precisely zero.

So I'm throwing it out there: what do you guys think? Would you add any of these alleged WGs on WeChat? How fake do you think this is? Etc.

Color me curious.

Cracker and Backpage are the same. Same site (hosted in The Netherlands) and same owners (based in America). Cracker was created a couple of years back as a backdoor of sorts to Backpage for countries where 1.) ads for prostitution services weren't allowed anymore; or 2.) credit card transactions for adult services (e.g., online ads for escorts) weren't allowed anymore. Countries where these activities are allowed still use backpage.com.

Thanks for the explanation. Makes all kinds of sense, as 90% of BP photos are fake and cracker is likely the same.

I guess the revenue model is cheap ads, as there are new ones posted every few minutes. So to stay current, you need to buy ads several times daily. Some WGs appear 3-4 times on one page.

There's everything on there from freelance SE Asian girls to agencies (lots of 'em I guess) and pornstars. Some escorts, often NYC/London types with websites. Prices for the latter are...well, steep.

Caveat emptor!

Backpage/Cracker allows advertisers to automatically repost and/or renew their ads for an additional fee. This is why you see some ads being reposted daily. There usually isn't anyone reposting their ads manually as it's all done automatically within the advertising options.

Here's a quick history lesson which relates to Backpage/Cracker.

Newspapers of all kinds have always had a classifieds section. Some alternative weeklies (e.g., focused on entertainment, music, theatre, lifestyle, BDSM or fetish) because they weren't mainstream newspapers would have in their classifieds a personals section. The personals section included ads for regular men/women seeking women/men, massage parlours and escorts. Backpage later came in and bought out the online hosting of classifieds for various weeklies. This was around the same time as Craigslist in America rose to popularity and many years before Kijiji arrived. Backpage wasn't focused on adult ads, but of course that was a big money maker for them.

A few years ago it became illegal in America (and by coincidence several other countries as well) to advertise prostitution services. Backpage specifically was in trouble here because it was assumed/seen that they actively encouraged prostitution services. A lot of people don't understand how advertising or website hosting works and Backpage lost an important legal battle here. As a result, Backpage had to stop hosting adult ads in several countries.

Cracker was started as a backdoor of sorts to Backpage. Cracker isn't hosted in America so they don't have to follow America's laws. Similarly, in Thailand you can't advertise for adult services so locals there get redirected from Backpage to Cracker as well (note: Thai-based sites seem to get around this by not listing prices on their sites.)

I have used cracker a few times in my home country with success. The problem is at a guess 80 to 90% of the ads have fake pictures. You need to spend a lot of time weeding them out.

Looking at the HK site it looks closer to 95% fake.

I've had some success with Cracker.

The two important rules -

No.1
Right click their most professional looking photo and "search image by google"
If google doesnt find anything this is a good sign
If google only finds more ads then
         - Check some of the ads - are the details the same?
         - Are there ads in different cities for the same dates?

No.2
Search their phone number or email with google
If you get a result with the number/mail on escortwiz.com - check this. You'll see all the ads they posted in the last 2 years
You can quickly tell if its bs when there's pics of random women
If its the same details in every ad on escortwiz, you're looking good

Cracker/Backpage is always a big risk. Even if they're legit, why are there no reviews etc. I strongly suggest meeting them outside on the street before hand to double confirm.

I notice more and more reports are posting Cracker.com links to give an indication what the girls look like.

The problem I am here in the USA and every time I click on the Cracker.com link, I would get a "403 Forbidden" web page. How do I get around this? Wait until I leave the USA?
