I have been avoiding going to this place as it's extremely expensive and I always end up having buyer's remorse later. However, I went there recently and thought I will give an overview. This is supposedly a members only place but quality of the girls is generally very high, surely most of them are early 20s, super sexy. The rooms are of various sizes, the bigger ones can accomodate a large group of 15-20, smallest one probably fit for just 4 or so. Most of them (I think all except one) have attached washroom. Song selection is quite good. There are
a few different managers who probably have their own set of girls whom they can call. My contact there speaks quite good  English, not all girls are fluent in English.

The place starts seeing action at 7 pm or so though most arrive around 9 pm. Generally, the agent sends me photo beforehand and I choose before going there. But there have been instances when they have given me a sort of line up may be 5-6 girls at a time. If I shortlist say 2-3, they sit for 5-10 minutes and then you can decide if there is any chemistry or not.

Sitting fee is 3000 for 3 hours and can extend hourly afterwards, they have some fruits and snacks. But you can also order food from their kitchen or even outside. Mcallan 12 years old is about 1400 if I remember right. I had wine and it ranges from about 2000 to 3500 a bottle. So for sure, this is an expensive place to go. Most of the local girls are not go out, a few do and they cost a fortune. Previously was about 6-7k, nowadays about 10k. Beware, you are mostly paying for their looks, don't expect pse. That said, very very few are dead fish. And I have had some incredible punts with some of the girls, particularly if alcohol has made them shed their inhibition. Sometimes they do manage to get Taiwanese or russian, but they are probably more expensive. a few of the Taiwan girls that I have samples were incredibly hot, well traveled and good to have conversations.

Beware if you pay by credit card then there is 15% service charge added to your bill. So better carry cash.

This is not a full report but am hoping people will read and respond with their own KTV experience and let us know about place Sto go particularly on hk island side.

I go to KTV's around once every 3 months, all in Kowloon, Jordan. Not really reported and very seldomly repeat as there is so much choice of venues.

From experience ,  95% are Chinese speaking only and looks/age really do vary, no-non chinese girls . Prices are pretty standard, 550 for first hour, 500 per hour after. This is per girl and sitting fee only. You can see if there is any chemistry for 30 mins, if not, choose another, manager comes in to check until you are satisfied. Drinks are around 3-400 for 6 beers, 800 for JW black label, other drinks available but unsure of prices as we play drinking games and don't want to get hammered so quickly as we normally stay 3-4 hours.

If you want to take out, your need to ask the girl or request to the manager for those type of sitting girls. It's normally 1k for about 40 mins...Sometimes you take them upstairs or nearby hotel, other times inside the actual KTV's room.

I think it's more of a fun blind date but the more people, the better though I have been told by girls they get lonely single customers as well.

Personally it's a fun night but you really do need to understand Cantonese or Mandarin to make the most of it. I would also advise advanced booking if you are in a group otherwise after 8-9pm, the best ones have all been taken. A few places are: Lucky Star, Pearl KTV, Place to Be.

I have never been to a curtain bar, so no clue of costs there. This place is expensive but think of it as a semi civvie encounter. They have much less mileage. And while it is true that if they are going out with you, they probably are going out with others. But many of these girls are working 1-2 days a week. And there is a near constant supply of new girls coming to work. If you are friendly with the manger, you can get ones who have not seen much action. Even then , it is not value for money. But if are like me who have not much charm or the patience to play bar games to score with civvies, then occasional trips here will keep you from going under depression.

Is the KTV at Tinhau a new place?

I have gone in the past 2 years mostly to a place in wanchai.
they charge a bit less for mainlanders at $2k per 3 hrs I think but I havent gone in last few months.
For local and taiwanses, seems to be along the same price as yours but I am not sure since I never request them.

the rooms are quite big there with every room able to host at least 15 ppl plus some with pool table, great for big group gathering.

Only reason I go every 3 months is because my HK friends are all very busy, secondly if it's a good night, or nice girls, good chat, fun, can easily stay till they close which is 6am= a very expensive night, about 6-7k per person.. Once we went to a place after Shanghai City closed and it was a 24h KTV, some really dodgy things can be done at those places.

I would personally like to go more because all the girls are local (or from Mainland but now have HK ID), thus as mentioned before, it can be treated as a date and there's always a possibility to go to a more personal level... you just need to understand chinese. Only problem is no one to go with and I`d never go by myself.

Just a little reminder, these places welcome mainly locals as the staff hardly speak any English. Secondly, most of these places are in the roughest areas of Hong Kong city. Lastly, some of the above are managed by male managers, normally triads, whilst the rest are mamasans. The male managers will normally have a group of them outside at the bar enjoying themselves BUT keeping an eye out too.

All these places have different sizes rooms, limited/old English songs and can smoke inside as well.

By no means it is a new place. Have been around for a while. Same owner runs another place near Vela hotel between Wanchai and cwb. Which place in Wanchai you go to? This place used to have mainland girls earlier at cheaper price, even take out was cheaper. But I guess the place is better because of local girls. I am guessing TST will have better quality mainland girls.

mchk: Nope, the ones I go to are not VIP/members only. They are open to the public, normally 6/7pm until 6am. They don't shoo away any customers at all but you would definitely not enjoy yourself without a translator. The main reason being that the main reason you are there is to drink, get pished and try to pull. Some girls take some courting to get them to agree to go to bed for $xxxx. And even then, if there no chemistry, they will charge different prices depending on how you play the game.

The VIP ones I have heard of are in TST, I think there's around 3 but there's probably more but those are ultra expensive, ie. 1k per hour sitting, 2k per bottle of Chivas, etc etc. Obviously the girls are hotter, more choice and cost more to bed but I think that's really silly money spent since you can always go to a HG for that kind of quality. Average spending for 2 hours per person without bedding anything at all is around 3-4k.

It's a good experience/night out, building rapport and things can get crazy. It's a blind date but one where you can choose who to talk to, haha.

Crazy things include strip games, the girls dancing on the table and more...But you really do need to build a relationship/become a regular.

Lastly, fair warning, not only can the girls in ALL these places drink, they're friggin good at the drinking dice games too...So be prepared to get absolutely wasted...I once got a bj and a ride whilst wasted...Can't remember much

Zebra: Once you are in the room, you're free to do as you wish. You can sing, get the girl(s) to sing, duet, play games whilst another sings, etc. However there's ever only 2 mics no matter how big a room, we had  16 people last month in a room with only 2 mics but whilst 2 were singing the rest chatted and drank.

JJJ37:  Normally in a hotel and it's normally just upstairs. All these places are in high rises. However, if it's just one or two of you and the place is quiet you may get away with sneaking into an empty room

17 is a bit different then. They don't have shortage of mike. Even smaller rooms have 4. Also, it doesn't get too rowdy there, heavy petting, fondling, with good chemistry dfk does happen but not further. Manager /Staff discreetly visit on pretext of refilling glasses, fruit platter etc though they don't really say much. Of course , sometimes you can sneak into the bathroom for some action. I have gotten a BJ a few times there. For more, there is a Victoria hotel nearby.

You can certainly get your hands under the girls dresses and sometimes under their panty. But getting their hands inside your pants is a lot harder! Rarely have I experienced it. But as written above if stars align, girl feels horny and there is a chance to sneak into bathroom for some action, then she would. Probability this happening is not more than 1/10 in my opinion. So, I guess if you were to go expecting it, you will be disappointed. If you want a take out girl then you will need to tell the manager in advance.

I went again and paid closer attention to the prices. 3000 for local and Taiwan girls sitting fees, doesn't include any alcohol, just fruits and those peanut kind of snacks. Any drinks are on top, wine bottles 2100 to 2800 range, Mcallan 12 years 1600. Take out if girls agree then about 10k. Though I guess if girl likes you, you can get contact details from her and perhaps meet outside and save the sitting fee and the price of drinks.

But as have been mentioned, the quality of girls is generally very good. I saw one smoking hot one but she wasn't go out one. However, while in room, I had access inside her dress. I got her contact details, and hope she will be opening up to possibilities later.
