It is sickening to see more innocent people being killed by murderers claiming to be doing it for religious reasons. They are doing it because they are pathetic fucks who want to do evil and use religion to justify their actions. To hell with them.

As long as the worlds leaders keep going down this path of acceptence that this sick religion is a religion of piece and these people are only a few, we are only heading down the shitter.

The problem is: Will people trade safety for freedom? There are total surveillance states like South Korea,UK,PRC and Singapore on
one end with very little freedom but with no crime at one end, and places like Germany for example at the other end where there are very few
governmental cameras for tracking and watching people and people have vast freedoms(they are even allowed to go to naked beaches
or possess semiautomatic rifles with proper license) but the crime rate is high ,anarchists occupy empty houses and many criminals don't
get caught. maybe some tradeoff or compromise between these two extremes?
I was caught by the police for smiling on public place. Yes. I heard that this  happens in the US as well.

People have been killed, murdered, and tortured for religion since the beginning of time. What about people who get killed because of their race?

It isn't so much about being in a police state or not. It is about the cultural change. If people are honest, respectful, and civilized, we don't really need to spend all this money on police and prison.

Sarly, people will find any number of reasons to turn to violence. As people end up with more power and influence, they can convince, and coerce more people to join in to their own personal agendas. Why? Because we're human, and humans are idiots.

Doubtless a few are sadistic and vicious killers who terrible things, however they are not the ones to be feared.  The ones that scare me are the truely sincere ones who believe that their god has instructed them to kill and maim as an act of service because of extremist teachings which they have had drilled into them by a hierarchy of narrow minded and deluded teachers.

It seems to me that many of these mostly young men have been disenfranchised by their community (or at least they feel that way) and are looking for a "family" to join who gives them purpose.  Once they get it, they get brainwashed and become part of culture that values violence as manhood.  A culture that means that men will kill their female relatives (sisters/daughters/wives) for not living a shadow life that they want them to live.  

The problem is what to do about it?  Wars don't seem to be very effective, I think education, broadening of minds is the only way to shine a light on the madness that is not only the extreme acts of violence that make the TV but also the bigger issue that takes the form of "I live the right way and I will impose that view on all of you".  As Penn Jillette might say in his very cultured way - Fuck you in the fucking neck to that idea!!!!

I'm all for people believing what they want and living life their own way but:
1. Don't tell me how to live.
2. Don't impose your views on others.
3. If you get the urge to do either of the above fuck you in the fucking neck!
