Well I guess it is time I wrote another report.  Went to my usual Northern 3rd tier city.  Was there for about 10 days and punted several times, but this one was the most fun.
Note I really only do KTV's. Don't enjoy the wham bam of the sauna's or MP's.

I guess I have to agree with a bit of exception.  I seem to notice that many times when someplace is mentioned a few times with service provided, costs, location, and directions, etc, it is not long thereafter that the place or area gets raided, inspected, or shut down.  That said, I enjoy my play time and don't want to compromise it in any way.

Now for the caveat:  Many many times I have offered to meet up with members and at least act as a guide or helping hand where I go.  So far, only one member has taken me up on my offer, but I have to admit, it really was not his cup of tea, but of course he was familiar with 1000's of girls available in CP and CA.  So with the smaller numbers he may not have had the selection or quality he was hoping for, but giving him credit, he came, he saw, he went back to CP.  It still was worthwhile as the prices are lower, both for the girls and the hotels, the airfare is reasonable so a weekend of playing is close to a break even with a weekend in the CP/CA/ZH/SZ area.   Again noting that I only do KTV, I have been kind of hoping that someone with a lot more experience than me would want to try the place with me.  I am sure there is more around such as Sauna, Dirty Massage, Barber Shops, SW's, etc. but I don't speak enough Mandarin or am adventurous enough alone, to find these venues.  

My next visit to China is late March and early April and the invitation is still open.  I will be going North, South, and probably Shanghai.

As another aside, my North is cleaner, nicer, and more upscale than the South areas I have been to.  But of course there is not so nice areas also.

Very good suggestion!  I will definitely keep it in mind before I write another report.  And to be clear--I said "I am told the are 300 KTV's in the area" (not that I have gone to all of them, maybe 8 of them), "but I think that is a bit much".  But I guess there could be in the whole province, Shandong.  Pick a city and go, I'm am sure you'll find something to write about.  And just for information, I was only able to enjoy a small piece of CP/CA before it got shut down.  Yes there is still action to be had, but pricey and risky.  I know basically what the official line was, "corruption and political infighting", but do you think that the spreading of the action available via this and other forums and venues may have had something to do with the crackdown?  I admit I don't know but it certainly couldn't have helped.  I think I have some more K's available this offends you in any way, take whatever you require to maintain your sense of power.

Has anyone asked via PM how to contact the WG from any of his reports ... and he answered specifically on how to find her ?

I are only commenting on your presumption that CP/CA got shut down because mongers like us were posting reports and pictures of the activities there. I do not know anything about the specifics of the situation. I have never seen WGs in China.

I live and monger in Bangkok. If you made that comment about Bangkok, I would have been in danger of dying laughing!  Lack of awareness of WG activities is NOT what keeps the authorities from stopping the action. In many cases, the police are active investors and/or operators in KTVs, bars, massage parlours, etc.  These places get raided and shut down for entirely unrelated reasons:  (1) the police are trying to extract more "rent" and need to show their power; (2) the owners are on the wrong side of the police or political faction in power in the area; or (3) there is a general political shakedown intended to address some higher political purpose.

I assure you that the one thing that will NOT trigger a crackdown is that mongers were stating in quasi-public internet web sites that there is prostitution in Bangkok!

As I lived in Bangkok for 1 year long before you were probably born, I TOTALLY agree with your comment.  Bangkok then and Bangkok now, WOW, some it has not changed.  I read about places I used to go and am never surprised.  I still have a scar on my head from Thermae's when a crazy girl got me with a beer bottle.  In those days, Thermae's at 3 or 4 AM was the place all the locals went and all you really had to do was provide a bed and shower and you had all the girls you could ever want!  

And I don't think the reason the areas in China got shut down was specifically because of the forum's.  What I am saying, is it couldn't have helped!  IE:  If i were an LE and under pressure (whether or not I was was invested in the operations) to show that I was doing my job, I would sure try to use whatever information I could to prove what a good job I was doing.  If a place is being written up and then I go raid it and can show that I shut it down, I have good proof to show my superiors of what a good job job I am doing.  Meanwhile the ones that are operating under the radar or that I may have an investment in can continue with little or no interference.  This is just my POV and I am sure there other POV's that say it doesn't make any difference.

Just for your information, a couple of posters have asked for information and it has been passed on.  My general impression is that the forum has many more "stood next to", or lurkers, than actual doers.  I have invited several posters to join me but so far (over five years), only one has actually joined me and as far as I know no other has ever made the trip.  At least I have never seen another report.

But when my little Northern area has ZERO comments I don't think I want to start a thread on it.  Now if I go to, and have gone, the CP/CA/ZH/SZ areas, I did not have and would not have ANY problem giving very specific information, directions, reports, etc., as my little report probably would mean ZERO in the greater scheme of things in that area, as I am sure that anything I might report on is already under the ever watchful eyes of the authorities.

mrclen, I think what we have here is a disagreement not upon principal, but method.  

I can fully understand your wish to protect the location of your "secret garden".  But the method by which you're doing so (i.e. only revealing the location via PM) runs contrary to: a) reporting rules and b) the spirit of this forum.

What I suggest as a resolution that fixes both the rules and spirit issues are:

- Modify the RA level of your report (I'd suggest a level of RA 40 or 50 perhaps...any Mod can assist you with this), so that the audience of your information is restricted to other proven, contributory Bros who've earned their RA by offering similar helpful reports--and understand the need for discretion.  This will conform your report to the spirit of this forum.

- Add the location of your story related above, at a bare minimum the City in order to fulfill the minimum forum reporting requirement.  You could offer to provide via PM the specific KTV name/address.

We look forward to your continued participation--in fact welcome it--in a manner that both complies to the forum rules of reporting, and conforms to the spirit of this forum.

Yes, I refer to this forum.  But only via PM's.  Thinking about it, I believe the one person who did join me a couple years ago may have been from another forum, but being completely honest, he was not too impressed, maybe I am just not as particular?  
I could review my PM's and give you a list of the ones who I have invited?  I will be going back to China from late March until early April and going to multiple areas.  I travel for business and try fit in as much fun as I can.

OOPS!  Maybe it just seems like longer.  Time does fly when you are having fun.  Sorry for my mistake.  But the gist of the statement is true, I have invited others to join me and have given more specific information via PM's.  I do have one question however from a more experienced hand.

Is it OK to give out specific girl contact information without her permission?  I apply this to the only girls I "really' know, KTV girls.  In my limited experience, it seems as if the ones I know don't want you to broadcast the services they are providing.  So if they don't want the services broadcast, it may follow that they don't want other information about them broadcast either.  I'm sure this is not a black and white question as some of the girls are just Part Time in the KTV and others are Full Time plus whatever else they may be doing for daytime services.

Ask her if it's ok. If she says no, then in my opinion don't share it. If she says yes but only to specific people and not to a forum, then only give it through PM's.   
Also, in my opinion LEO's will probably not use this forum to find targets. Chinese forums have 100x the size and are more easily accessible. LEO's for the most part won't have great english skills and it would be 100x easier to read up on reports in a Chinese forum.
