Never used a chat program to find a WG.

Things like etiquette (do you basically ask up front about price?  How about more photos?)

Is there a a better program than WeChat in HK?
I found kaleu mention 2 other apps in

Using the auto translate, I'm also struggling with some of the phrases being used, like...
兩個鐘?  Translated as 2 bells... Is that 2 hours?

Any finally, what are reasonable rates through WeChat?  I guess I should also read other reviews for that answer...

It definitely requires more commitment and effort, but it also seems more rewarding.

I'll probably revise this post later when I don't have to write it on my phone.

1. WeChat is the program of choice in China (and thus HK).  I haven't tried those 2 other apps in the link in the previous post.
2. The program can translate text. Simply hold down a message and click translate, and it will be translated to the default language you set on the app!  It'll be broken English, but its possible to figure it out.  So on your side, use simple words and phrases!
3. On a side note, It seems the phone numbers in the girls DB all have WeChat. So you can prebook this way.
4. Turn on "discover nearby" and set your account as male.  You'll start having WG and agent accounts add you as a friend (within 1km radius) ;). Can talk with them in English and use the translate to figure things out!
5. Generally, if you are discovering and trying to add WG, their accounts have their photo whichbare a bit suggestive, with no album (if album of sexy photos, those are generally agent accounts), and have simple Chinese names (2 of the same Chinese character repeated).
6. Feel them out with a phrase like "Hi beautiful girl" and see what they say.
7. Agent accounts seem to add a lot of"moments"with photos of their girls.

Hi bro. It is a bit risky to find a WG on Internet/APP as there is rumor that the police would pretend as a WG/agent and catch anyone who ask for sex deal (similar to asking a street gal a price). Of course, there is some trait to determine whether the WG/agent is real or not if you are experience in this kind of trading. If not, rather stick with the traditional method (i.e. 141). Afterall, the quality of those WG found in Internet is not guarantee as most of them post fake pic.

try "skout", some hot girl will add you for chat, and those i believe "too hot" which proving them are working gals, they will ask you switch to wechat chat with them, and photo is look real, but cost is too high...one ask me HKD10000, what do you think? for me it's fucking exp..

I used Skout during a brief business trip to HK in 2013.

I got freebies from an average-looking HK girl, and from a pretty hot little Indonesian girl.   I also ended up meeting an HK girl who was a bit more difficult, and only got a kiss after a dinner date.

I am not sure how great Skout is today, but it was pretty great in 2013.  Girls are quick to reply, especially DH girls.   Even got a few messages from girls.   It was completely different from where I live (Japan), where you maybe message 30 girls and get just one reply.

I would add to Xanduras's comment,

- the country the WG uses is often Andora or Albania or another obscure country that on does not usually associate with China or Hong Kong.

- if the word "yue" or the character "约“ meaning "meeting" appears this is a clear hint of availability.

- sometimes a two tier system is used where the first contact shows a message with a second wechat ID, typically of a six letter/number combo

I have been using a few apps, here is a quick summary of each.

1. Skout - definitely the better option out the lot. The interface is more user friendly, and you don't have to pay to use most of its services. Split 70% locals 30% DH. In a week of using it, got 2 cybersex sessions. Another girl arranging to meet next week. Beware 2 scammers, asking for your Skype and Facebook, then video call on phone sex. Next they will blackmail you with a recording of your phone sex.

2. Badoo - the apps is very basic, but as a free user, they limit your chats and parts of the app. Lots of DH (85%) and 15% local. This app is know for SP and ONS, so it's more easier to pick up girls here. The girls on here tends to prefer westerns.

3. iAround - this app is very good location based, can see the rough location of the girl. For free users, they have limited some options, but still able to chat to most girls. This app has the most civilians, so the locals make up about 95%, but also means the hit rate is very low.  

4. Momo - they stopped the English version of the app, so unless you can read Chinese, this app is useless (it doesn't have translate portion, plus their registration process is very complicated). Nearly all of the girls are PRC.

5. Wechat - simple to use. Great translate option. FREE. The nearby function is very good to find girls roughly around you, if you switch this on in Macau, loads of girls/agents will add you. Again this app is mostly civilians, but I have found a long term cybersex buddy here, 2 CC and female friend. This is my second preferred app.

All in all, each app has its pros and cons. Some better than other. But all of them requires you to sort through the civilians and the girls require a lot more work before they are willing to meet. But hell most of them are free, what better than free fun.

5b. Just to add that WeChat in Manila, even if you set it to show nearby women only, will primarily hook you up with trans[genders/vestites]. WeChat needs to add the third option of explicitly showing nearby trans[genders/vestites], because without that they flood the women pages. But I guess that might not go down well in China where the application is developed. And the idea of trans[gender/vestite] toilets was never proposed as a solution in North America to recent laws. In summary, WeChat's nearby function is completely useless in Manila.

What about other countries?

I would add that I have had some luck with Tinder.  1 Freebie and 1 DH needed a little help for medical bills back home.  Freebie was 30's and had been DH a long time think she shared a room with several other girls and was pretty happy to get a nice meal and good hotel to sleep in.

Tried both Wechat and Tinder in Bali and had ton of offers quickly.

I have used WeChat a lot to find friends and WG's both. So I start by searching females only and once you search you open up to a lot of offers from agents. The agents that add you never reply to WeChat and you would need to call and discuss in Chinese so it is a dead end for me. I look for girls and profiles that may indicate an opportunity. I met my girl friend this way in Hangzhou she is a KTV girl and we started chatting. I never offer a price or anything specific in terms of sex. Remember this is the PRC and police can read your WeChat if they want to. Keep it general. If the girl gets too specific it could be police so I would avoid also. I ask if they can meet me at the hotel maybe teach me some Chinese.  Best to negotiate a price when they are in the room and you see what you may get.

I have met friends that just take me to dinner as well as WG's. Many times the agency WeChat maybe low key. Once you find it you can keep using it calling girls at random. When I find a good one I get their personal WeChat and make friends and keep repeating. Good punting and good luck!!
