An American cleint who became a good friend, but sadly passed away a few months ago, used to get a good laugh out of the names some of our WGs used. He understood that many of them made sense in Chinese, but he got a laugh neverheless. He would have loved the current YUK DIP and would have made some sarcastic comment about not wanting to dip his wick into anything called YUK. He also thought it was funny that such attractive young ladies could be called Man or Man Man. He once saw the name Hor Yee and joked that it was a misspelled version of "Whore Yee". I once had a papp laugh out loud at me when I misprounounced Gai Gai. With a high tone it means Chicken Chicken which is a euphemism for prostitute in Cantonese. My friend would go nuts when he visited Hong Kong and had a different girl every night for several days. He told me the Asian girls in Los Angeles cost considerably more but were generally older and less attractive.

I hope he didn't pass away while visiting one of the girls with the funny name !

Ha, ha....in fact I think he passed away because he hadn't been able to come over to HK for too long and he missed the girls!
