my current position is  ...

How's your Chinese ? Do you at least speak / write basic Mandrain. If you do, there are tons of jobs in IT.  Do you have a CCNA or CCNP
or CCIE ?  Check out dice.com

You could appy at a USA company like CISCO and get stationed in China. I once knew a friend who did this. He traveled to different parts of
Asian to work and return home to the USA, each month.

This way, your pay would be higher than working for a Chinese company.

Sorry, not speaking / writing Mandarin will be a disadvantage.  About 3-4 yr at a university level would be fine. You need to express yourself to
others and listen to other people, good communications skills. Not reading / writing Mandarin will be a lot harder to find a job in China. If it was 10 to 15 yrs ago, it would be different.  Southern China, might be beter since you know some Cantonese but stilll, you can't write / read.

from what i've read, isn't it difficult to find white-collar jobs in China?
I heard lots of people graduated college and are just sitting around.
There aren't enough jobs and the only jobs they can find are menial work.

Since batam108 has over 20 yrs in CISCO and  IT, he should have no problem finding another good job in the USA.  I would guess, batman with his 20 yrs experience will have no problem finding a job in China too if he knew some Chinese.

In China, if you boot up DOS Operating System, it's in Chinese.  Drives, errors and viruses are in Chinese for PC's.  I don't know what's the OS is for CISCO routers, but most likely it's in Chinese. Then you need to communicate with managers and other co-workers. You need to write simple reports in Chinese.

These are examples of what problems you will face.  Suggest taking a few classes in Mandarin.

It's illegal in most parts of the USA.  Most guys go over to Canada or Mexico. Some parts of Nevada are legal but girls are much older.

Hard to find girls that's 18 to 25 if you are over 40 unless you have tons of money.  If you above average looking about 21 to 40, like my

ex- college roommate, freebies are everywhere.

For Asian girls, they tend to be more conservative in sex compared to Caucasian girls in my opinion in the states. I think I read the same

thing about sex in HK too.  There is not enough going around.  Main thing was lack of privacy was the main issue in HK.
