Since it is just 1 floor up, I'd rather use the stairs than stand around waiting for the lifts to come down from 11F.

When you go in through the main entrance walk straight past the security desk (left side of the desk). Keep walking to where there are usually buckets and mops. There's a bunch of other stuff lying around back there. You should see some daylight streaming down back there (if you go during the day of course). Turn to your right and you'll see the stairway leading up to the 1st floor. As you approach this back area you will not see the stairway, you have peak around to the right.
