#4 Post at 22-3-2014 01:22  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L You may find that you get better exchange rates at the on-the-street money exchanges (as long as you don't do it at the ultra-touristy places like Senado Square). I always use one of the two right across the road from Rio Hotel. Originally, I tried to change money in the hotel itself (which has a casino), but the nice young lady at the front desk advised me that the rates were better outside. And she was right. Final thought: Exchanging USD for either HKD or MOP is very easy in Macau. BUT they don't like money that is more than 10 years old. So, bring relatively new notes/bills. I have had no problem exchanging 20's, 50's, and 100's (USD) into HKD in Macau. No passport is required. Gherk

But it is better to change HKD. because when you have leftover MOP, not many countries' money changers are willing to take MOP. but then again, u will probably spend ALL your money when in Macau.
