Shower before going to spa/sauna

I will arrive in HK in the early morning, and my hotel probably will not let me to check-in until 3pm.
I would like to have a relaxing massage from morning, around 10am. Do you think it's bad idea to go there if I didn't take a shower before? I know they always have a shower at sauna/spa, but I would feel embarassed if I arrive there after long flight without take a shower. Or do you think I shouldn't care?
If you think I should care, where can I take a shower before go there, without spend the 24US$ they ask for showers at international airport?
Thank you.

Don't waste money showering at the airport. Saunas don't care how dirty you are when you enter, all they want you to do is shower and be clean for the girls. Many of us don't even get hotels when we have to go to China for a day trip or vice versa those from China coming to HK for day trip, we just head to a sauna/spa for a great shower, massage, and a possible stay over.

What I do suggest is that if you are carrying check-in luggage with you, you should either pay for 'Left Luggage' at the Airport Express stations or leave with your hotel concierge. Some saunas like Sands have lockers that are large enough to hold a carry-on luggage, but not all.

As long as you have money they don't care what you look like or smell like when you walk in.

The sauna girls will be happy with you either way, as long as you shower when you arrive at the sauna. Remember, Hong Kong is a very hot place in the summer time, so they are absolutely used to seeing people hot and sweaty when they walk through the door.

But really I think you should set your own standards. If you would be more comfortable arriving pre-showered, then by all means do so. But it should be because *you* think it is important. The girls won't care as long as you clean yourself once you arrive at the sauna.

you clean up at the sauna .... just how 'dirty' are you after a long flight ?

just to advise you ... most, if not all saunas in hk do not open until 11 in the morning
