#1 Post at 8-10-2013 11:46  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L Best time to visit Macau saunas, near CNY..? Guys, this year's CNY is around Jan 31. What do you recommend the best time to visit saunas in terms of girls and crowd (not a fan of crowded saunas). I reckon two weeks before CNY is the best time as girls would be looking for extra money, but I was wondering if two weeks (or three?) after CNY would also be a best time as new, fresh girls would be coming to start working ? Any input would be appreciated, thanks. On a side note I would probably make a visit to Macau in early December so I am wondering if mid February (two or three weeks after the CNY) would be a best time or not.. Mods, I wasn't sure if I should be posting this on the Macau section or the Q&A, but considering that it is specifically Macau related, I hope it is allowed.. #2 Post at 8-10-2013 21:44  Profile P.M.  Font size: S M L It can be argued either way.   Also, you can't really game the system like this.  The sauna opperators have been at it longer than you and they know the schedules and the punting habbits.  If the sauna is not crowded there wont be many girls.  And if one sauna is less crowded than the others it's because something is wrong. Just go when it is most convenient for you.  Do your reserch about the different saunas so you pick the one or two best or you, and have fun. In my opinion, girls that made good money will most likey leave early. Getting a train ticket during and just before CNY is a rush. It's the largest annual human migration in the world. Girls that didn't make enough money will most likely stay a little longer to make extra money. Most other non Chinese girls don't celebrate Chinese New Year and should stay. ie Russian, Thai, Viets   In terms of crowd, it should be busy with regular tourist.
