Can someone enlighten me on how this address system works? I can't figure out this Lorong 16, House 54a thing while looking at Google maps. I've never been to Singapore before but will be visiting soon. Thx.

(Lorong 3, 5, 7, etc) on the right are even numbered lorongs. (Lorong 12, 14, 16, etc) Along these lorongs, are rows and rows of semi-detached houses. Unlike the rest which are semi detached, it's part of a walk up. Just walk down lorong 16, you will see it as a 3 storey building. Oftentimes there are 2 trannies guarding the walking entrance. It's on the second floor.

I assume based on previous reading that a girl is assigned to you unless you request a specific one, i.e. there are no line-ups to choose from. 2. Do the PPS/MMS speak English?
