2 Days & Nights in Macau - Help - Any Input!

Hi Everyone

I have a group of super important clients (total group size 7ppl) to visit Macau in June - arrive in Macau on a Tues & depart on Thurs. I really want to "roll out the carpet" for these guys and make it a trip to remember.

Current plan was:
- Helicopter both ways
- 5 star hotel - any recommendations (Cotai/old City)
- spa/sauna - Must be classy & able to offer just massage for some people and extras for others if they want it (some guests might just want a massage). I am assuming Rio is the classiest? Want it to be high end with options either way...but not in your face like D1? Any recommendations?
- House of Dancing Water
- night club - D2? Is it any good?
- gentlemens club - Divino...is it worth doing?
- KTV - again is this worth doing, any recommendations?
- Any other ideas?

Sorry so many questions, I am no Macau expert (better in mainland). Just want to have an amazing trip that covers all tastes.

Cheers

I would suggest look at Search button in the top bar and look from there on reports on saunas, etc.

Actually, ive never tried their services, but as you seem to be trying to organize a kot of things, why not try the services of macaustag.com that advertises here?

U can try talking to them at least, to see what they can offer, but from their advertisements theirnjob seems to be organizing this sort of things.

Thanks guys. Really appreciate the input. I think Rio will probably be the one. Funny you should say give Macaustag a go - I just think I might.
Thanks for the tips. Any more are welcome!

Flowmon - of course I used the search function - this is how I got my shortlist of things to do! I was just trying to get some extra tips and insights from helpful members directly relevant to me...this is of course the purpose of a forum I thought - to share and inform in a friendly, supportive environment. Let's all remember that we are all on the same team here and trying to help each other out in a collegiate environment...

Thanks guys!

I concur with kenbond. Rio is the classiest of the Saunas. If 18 has finished its renovations by then, it might be worth a try if your colleagues want a bit more excitement than Rio offers. Rio is great, but fairly laid back. 18 has livelier showtimes. But if the reno is not finished, I would stay away.

Helicopter both ways is a good idea, but only if the helo is actually running. There are many times when it isn't running, due to bad weather (and some have said they only run trips if enough passengers have booked that trip, but if you have 7 that should help). So, you should plan on the ferry as a backup option, because you might not have a choice.

For hotels, the Grand Lisboa is very classy, and has great restaurants (I like "8", the Chinese restaurant on the 2nd floor). They also have a buffet restaurant which is supposed to be very good, though I haven't tried it. The Cotai hotels are newer, but for my money, the Grand Lisboa is pretty spectacular, especially the lobby area. But if your guests like high end shopping, perhaps the MGM or Venetian might work too.

Here's some of my suggestions to your current plan.

Helicopter back and forth - Excellent idea.
Hotel at Macau City - MGM ( Convenience for you to hang out all night long at the Lion's Bar and hunt for WGs visiting after their duties. )
Hotel in Cotai - Venetian or the New Sands Cotai and various new hotels like Sheraton ( Easy for shopping and walking distance to the House of Dancing Water show at the City of Dreams )
Sauna - Well, i prefer a massive line up over the best facilities so i suggest you check out 18 sauna then RIO.

Right now 18 is not a good choice because of the renovation works, just noting.

With a group of 7, does 18 have private group rooms?  Like a KTV room?

Bro, why don't you call 18 directly and ask?  If they have a room, book it.  Then when you arrive, everything is ready for you...cannot impress your clients more than the ready room, can you???

Thanks guys for all if the tips. It is gonna be a CRAZY couple if days eith no exoense spared!
Chopper is $$ but will impress the hell out if them (if its running!). re sauna, I think that Rio is the best for the clients...like I was saying...some will want full service, dome roll just want a massage.
Conrad & Lisbon sound good...but methinks I will stay in the old city.
Have been to Lions bar before...agree, this us a must!
Re booking a private room, this might be s plan, but I think that 18 (I've been there before) is a little too in your face for these guys...last time I went to 18, a guy was getting a public rubdown as part of a show...u think my clients will want a lower profile!

chopper is about $3500 / head (one way??)
MGM and Venician are OK . Get a full suite.

Usually here's the full drill when visiting Macau:
1. Get a light meal at a classy restaurant -
2. Visit massage for a full service or a relaxing massage
3. Get a full meal dinner at one of the classy place - MGM or wherever
4. Don't forget the nightclubs - bring girls
5. Bring back the girls to the hotel
6. wake up . at about noon, go to taipan for a vegi massage for a full vegi relax.
7. visit Darling
8. late lunch again at the top of the tower or something.
9. Heli copter back to HK.

You don't just go and have a FS massage.

Also you might want a Mercedez Limo for pick up. Taxis are hard to find.

If money is no object, I second wickedwickedsin's motion to arrange limos. It will be hot and humid in June, and likely rainy.

Also, Grand Lisboa Hotel is in the old city (not Taipa), and is really the most impressive of the hotels there. Wynn and MGM would come further behind -- still very nice, but not as grand as the Grand Lisboa.

Also read up the recent report on Club Nine.

Limo

Fully agree with ggherkin

With the type of trip you are planning it would be ideal to book a Limo for transfers and the rates are not too sttep considering the type of plan you are making for your clients. I mean MOP500 for a point to point pickup n drop or even MOP 6000 for a 12 hr shift for a limo meant for 8 persons does no seem steep considering you will be spending HK$3500 per head for the Helicopter

Infact as we are travelling to Macau around the end of June planning to use the Limo atleast once even if its just for the experience

check this link for rates http://www.mymacaulimo.com/en_rates.php

There is a 3 michelin star restaurant in Grand Lisboa - Galera au Robuchon, serving French. You should try it. The Degustation Menu is around 2000-3000 HKD per person IIRC, excluding wine. But their executive lunch set is a very reasonable 600-1000 HKD.

Hi again
More questions:
1) We have been recommended the sauna at the Waldo Hotel (East Spa). Is this better than Rio...given that some guys won't want FS and just veggie etc?
Just want the classiest and most "discrete" setup for services.
2) Is D2 better than Cubic to head out to?
Thanks for all your help!

The sauna on the 6th floor of the Waldo (not Grand Waldo) Hotel is called "East". It is similarly priced to Rio, and IMHO the decor is of a similar level of quality. But it is much smaller, with room in the main lounge for only about 25 - 30 people in total.

I don't think the girls are any better than Rios. Given everything that you've written, I think Rio would be a better choice than East for your purposes.
