Do you see the shadow that follows the line of her butt and waist? That is an obvious sign of photo-manipulation.

I see what you mean, but the eyes are creepy.

And this brings us back to the Japanese or Korean controversy. The Koreans have this thing about western eyes, and surgery to enlarge the appearance of the eyes is the most common cosmetic-surgery procedure performed in Korea. The Japanese couldn't care less about altering their eyes. So if the photos all have eerily exaggerated eyes, what does that tell you?

That they really are that freaky? Doggy only...

I'm sure the eyes are photoshopped, but who else but a Korean would think that enlarging the eyes to such a freakish extent would be attractive? Whatever other faults the Japanese might have, they are extremely adverse to appearing foolish.

And Japan also does the double-eyelid surgery thing, though I think you're right in that it doesn't happen at nearly the same rate as it does in Korea.

What was I thinking? I'd forgotten the whole weekend Harajuku/Shibuya scene. But Japanese kids usually outgrow this around what 18?. And most of them change back into their civies before hopping on the train back home to mom and dad. (If I remember correctly, isn't the Japanese term for the above look 'ganguro'?)

I've read that 40% of Korean women have had eyelid surgery. I know that the Japanese sometimes do do this, but in all the time I was in Japan, I never ran across anyone who had had the operation - I understand it went out of style some time ago.

Koreans, on the other hand, are plastic surgery addicts - a majority of the people have undergone one form or another of surgical 'improvement'.

And now that we're on the topic of bionic babes; it just occurred to me that in all my time in Japan, I never encountered a tit job. Was I unconsciously attracted to 'natural' women, or is breast enhancement far less common among the Japanese?

I never met a Japanese woman who wished her breasts were bigger ... though I did meet one with huge knockers that was embarrassed by them. Truth be told, most of them wished for a great ass more than anything else.
