A few years ago I was stopped by a very young officer and he said the novel I was carrying was by a banned counter revolutionary author, which was bollocks, and I had to pay a fine, as it was discovered on my way out. I knew he was new at the scam because he picked me. I got a senior guy involved and he knew I was far more trouble than it's worth. He just gave me the book & waved me on without a word. They try it from time to time with people but they usually pick their victims well.

For the trouble it takes to rip it to the hard drive of a laptop (or iPad or whatever) or carry it on a USB bug you can be completely safe with your stash in your hands but carrying a porn DVD is a gift to a customs officer. Hear Ye!  The Mayor has spoken!
