There are a several bars on Loi Koh (or something like that just south of the East gate [Tha Pae]). There are a few bars on a road behind the Night Market street (Foxy Bar?). There are a few more on the East side toward the south end of the Night Market street. There is another section south of the Night Market near the Empress Hotel around Chiang Mai Land road. Also there are a few big spa/go-go places, but I have heard they are a bit pricy and cater to Japanese.
