I'll be in HK in a few days and and wanted to know what the general rule is about wearing the wedding ring? Do the girls care or is it just business? But from what friends tell me, they usually take it off if they want to play off as being single and available. If you are really damn old like me who's in his 60's then it really doesn't matter. But rule of thumb is to take it off. It's usually better. there will be a ring tan line, but you just tell them you are recently divorced. this usually works if you want to portray yourself as being available. But if you really don't care and just want some action, then just keep it on. you never know if you are going to lose it or get pick pocketed. Good luck! AsnDragon

I went to the jeweler from whom she purchased it, a friend of mine, and have purchased a "spare" Of the exact same specifications which she does not know about . I can always use it if needed. sometimes I switch them back and forth so both of them looked equally scratched up and my spare would not look like a new shiny ring if I really have to start wearing it you never know when you will need it. I recognised the sound of my ring falling on the ground so I panicked a bit (more because I thought I might lose my ring than anything). The girl saw it first. She just bent over, picked it up and cheerily handed it back to me as if I'd dropped anything else. Not a hint of interest in my marital status at all. The rest of our transaction went as normal. So given my brief scare, I'm inclined to agree with Intenseslacker from now on: wearing it costs you nothing, but taking it off risks you losing it. If you really don't want it seen, at least leave it somewhere safe before you go out for your punt.
