You just know that the government is going to re-legislate. The interesting thing will be to see how they craft a new law that will not also be struck down.
The Ontario legislature can re-legislate all they want. But if their Supreme Court says brothels are legal, they cannot legislate it away.
Yes, they can make laws that heavily regulates the sex trade. But anything is better than what you'd have in the United States. The United States is the only large country outside the Middle East to be so obsessively puritanical about sex. It'd be nice to have somewhere close where American mongers can indulge in their hobby legally while waiting for their next trip to Asia.

Personally I think it is always bad news when a politically left court win happens during a politically right government. There is too much risk for the pendulum to swing the other way.
I'm not sure this is a simple left and right issue. In American, both ends of the political spectrum opposes prostitution. On the left, you have the feminist activists. On the right, you have religious crazies. You have the same in Canada, but to a lesser degree.
