Noticed this and wanted to see what you think...

Seems there are a lot more girls than a yr ago. The site is literally bulging compared to when i arrived a few yrs ago - just as happy about it as you are i'm sure    

However, additionally to the increase in women has come, less so towards the cheaper end, some noticeable and sustained price increases.
That i can remember....but from memory the most expensive girl a couple/few years ago was 1600....max....no?
Some of the current listing are for over 2200!...and that's without a photo provided.
We should dub a new term for the "HK Lottery' lol.

Truth is, if i was in their shoes, i'd be putting prices up too. The demand is only going one way!

Would be curious it see what your thoughts are on this.

Well, it's very obvious that it's just simple economics working. The agents/WGs know that we punters are still willing to come despite a higher price and so they go ahead and increase. Now, if we all voted with our feet and really stop going to those expensive WGs, they will for sure feel the pinch and lower their price.

Well one guy seems to have it right. He's the one who imports these cuties from Thailand and plops them in three or four locations around HK and fixes their base rate at $250. They are always busy and nobody in the near vicinity can push much past $350 or $400 and many have to fall to $300 because of them. Market forces at work.

BTW These girls turn 15 to 25 tricks a day (one girl told me she sometimes turned tricks 30/day) and I'll bet the popular ones earn more than some of those higher priced ones charging $800. Of course they can only last three or four weeks or so at that pace but they might go home with HK$30K to HK$40K after a month. 150,000 Baht is a whole lot of money to these girls so I'm sure they'll keep coming over here.

Yeah! Long live the market forces. Though unlike other markets, the product of a WG has pretty much stayed the same over thousands of years and thus, the room for innovation to reduce prices is quite limited. Unlike say computers or ipads where technological progress allows the manufacturer to sell something cheaper and make more money per unit cos the cost of production has gone down much more.

Regarding Thais, my general sense though is that less guys like them as compared to China girls. That's why they can only charge so much. This is my sense from places like HKG, Malaysia and Singapore where Thai girls are generally on the lower end of the mongering line-up.

Of course, every once in a while, you have Thais that command PRC-prices in the HK Hotel Walk-ins, but you can see that they generally have more Chinese (ie fairer skin) features rather than Thai.

Macau seems to be the exemption (or great equalizer) where Thai girls are generally same price as PRC girls in the saunas.

Never seen so many $900 girls.

And there's even the odd PRC HG going for $1,000, while the white HGs are back down at $1,000, so the gap
has finally closed between "high-end" PRC and white HGs, a development that caught me by surprise.

I have noticed the same thing too how prices have gone up quite a bit for the Korean, Japanese  WGs.  

All I can say is the punters here vote with the dollar and they'll adjust.  Hong Kong is a free market.
