I just thought it would help if I gave a few tips on foot care while punting/mongering
Many a times, the walkups do not have ideally hygeinic conditions for taking a shower. With clogged drain holes and / or slow water flow, there are enough bacteria lurking around on the bathroom floor and also immediately on the used and folded towels which are piled outside of bathrooms acting as floor mats.
IN winter months it is not so much of a problem but when it is humid and hot, semi moist feet going immediately into the socks CAN give you reason to be concerned about fungal infection on toe areas and also on the base of your foot.
Try as much as possible to make sure that once you are out of the shower at the W-U, your feet are not only dry wiped clean but are dry.
I know this is to some (and to the vets) the most useless peice of advice. Not trying to be a grandpa but mongering ain't good if you got a callus on ya foot !
Cheers mates
