it's Friday night after dinner, and you want to go pick up a hot bar girl, and you don't want to miss out - where is your never fail, old reliable haunt? Not worried about the ambience, not worried about the drinks, not concerned abou t the coverband. I am looking for a place full of quality WGs, ready to go.

Amazonia for mostly Fili types, then Escape for a broad range.

Having said that, I recently went into Escape and failed.  Must have been my aftershave or something; I just couldn't land a bite.  Nothing is for certain.

I hit Bar 109 yesterday around noon.  The taxi stops.  The doors are closed, the bass beat pumping out through the hinges.  Ahhhh, I love the smell of hookers in the morning!  In I go......

Wan Chai is hard to beat. The best thing about Wan Chai? The fact that there are so many places to punt in short walking distance and a scattering of legit drinking bars where you can relax and have a beer, a bite, watch some sport on TV and at any given time you are only minute's walk from a punter's paradise bar.

I must admit I enjoy people watching as well and there are people of all sorts, shapes and sizes to watch in Wan Chai. What does a person do for a living? where are they from? who will the go home with etc?

OK, to your original question, No doubt Escape and Neptune II are the places to start, Amazonia, Boracay, Makiti, Joe Bananas, Traffik etc... if you can't find what you are looking for in Wan Chai... your aren't looking. Good luck Bro.

Boracay is not like what it used to be, unfortunately. On sundays, it has turned into a bar for chain-smoking spike-haired lesbians. Best bet on saturday nights is makati and N2 in my opinion. Sundays, noon is 109, followed by Makati and J-forest thereafter (mid afternoon).

Escape in my opinion is hit or miss. I am sure the quality wasnt there as opposed to the aftershave ;) I hope your night was ruined. If Escape sucks you can always head up to Neptunes or Amazonia to find a gem or a backup plan

The current plan, start at Escape, and it that's not happening, walk down to Neptune, stopping at other suggested bars inbetween.  I'm not gonna stop till I find something good. I do the run of the bars - most seem to have slim pickings unless you like our Filipinas really fat. Neptune is jumping - but there's a lot of dudes there, and one sorta fat Austrailian dude started trying to be my friend - I think he was trying to work himself up to chatting up a girl. He made me sad, so I left, and ended up in Escape again - which seemed to be full of good talent. I just had my eye on one hot Chinese girl in a red dress, when up comes this obvious civvie Filipina-American girl and starts chatting me up. I have a few words, and try to extract myself, but then the girl I was heading for just found a couple of banker-looking-dudes to hang with. Chance missed.

So, I'm a friendly sort, so I decide can take an hour off my mongering to see what the civvie is all about - maybe she is looking to get her freak on in a WG bar - because nobody at this point could mistake Escape for anything else. As it turns out she is some kind of researcher, and has been in HK working on a dissertation about human trafficking. She's there with her WG friends who have been helping her with her research... She is nice and all - but it's pretty hard to get your punting on with a bespectacled little PhD student standing beside you chatting you up. Every 10 min or so, one of her "friends" - obvious WGs looking for a punter - would come by, but they would see I was catting w/her, and then get scared off... Keep in mind - I am new to this, don't know any of the girls, and that was a Friday and Saturday night - when the bars were packed with dudes. Also - those were the best looking girls in the bars I could find - I am sure by lowering your standards, going on a weekday, and/or having a bit of rep., those prices would drop.

Also of note - I poured very few drinks into those girls, and they earn money that way, too - so I am sure they are trying to get some of their cash back out for lost drink-money opportunities. After 2 nights, its clear to me there is a skill involved in getting the right girls at the right prices in the bars... and a lot of it involves more patience than I have shown.

Also - keep in mind that this is not a cheap way to get laid regardless. You need to factor in the drink costs. Every time the girls order a drink its damn near $100. 3 and a half drinks would get you laid in a number of walkups in HK - and that before you even get started paying for the sex...

This is not the cheapest way to get your groove on.

Fair enuf, I wouldn't have compromise on quality either if it is just a few hundred... But that explains it if u have competition and went with the hottest girls there...

I don't mind spending the money, but there's nothing wrong with making your dollar work harder.

True.  You don't do the bar-scene to economize on either money or time.  You go for a good time - enjoy the band while bouncing between various hotties; finally clicking with that one that clicks real well and gets your juices flowing, and THEN finally hitting a room.

I have had so many super-passionate nites/mornings in Wanchai.  Where you and the gal can't keep your hands off each other.  Ya screw about 6 times till one of you finally has to bolt.  

But - I've also had total funk nites.  Where nothing works - the hot gals seem disinterested, and even  the average gals seem to blow you off.  It happens.  That's life.  Shit happens.
