To each his own!  We've our own preferences.  Don't get me wrong, I'm no strong proponent of KTVs though I will confess it has brought me luck in the past (& a few girlfriends).

I know the Wan Chai scene very well though I won't classify it as "hanging out" or "hunting".  I was just saying to test3 that for the kind of money he was splurging ($1,200 per pop), it may be better to have an "arranged date".

Wan Chai has it's own qualities but some of the low-end bars do expound a sense of sleaziness!

Btw, the KTV girls not not always willing to go out with their clients.  Especially the ones who need money for a shortfall iin their personal lives or students in btwn jobs.

If you are truly into hunting (which I personally agree and like), then you should be looking at the bars in Lan Kwai Fong.  Again, I don't think you need lecturing to as you're an old hand in HK.

LKF has a bad rep for lots of girls but hard to pick up, but that's only because it's a hard place to play. Girls are on alert, and they're always on the lookout for ONLY the best guys. If you're not prepared, chances are you'll go home empty handed.

BUT, having said that, it's not impossible. Here are some tips:

- Chat with the girl before you offer to buy her a drink. Otherwise she'll just treat you like a wallet. If you DO buy her a drink, make sure you agree she'll pay for the next one. Otherwise she'll still treat you like a dim-witted wallet.

- Ask for her name and get to know her, but don't give her your name until she asks for it. If she doesn't respond with questions about you within the first 10 minutes or so, she's not interested. Move on, or come back later.

- Don't limit yourself to one bar. Skip around from place to place. That way you don't appear to be just talking to random girls all night in one bar. It also helps to see if a girl is interested in you if you ask her to accompany you to another bar and she agrees. Which brings me to my next point:

- Get to know the bartenders, bouncers, managers and owners! Not only will you get a better free/cheaper drinks, your girls will also be impressed with your social status. (It's really not hard. Just ask them their name and tip well. Then come back the next week, remember their name and do it again)

- Take advantage of the golden hour, the time when girls are pretty drunk and are starting to look for a fuck. Most of the hotter guys will start to pair up with girls so the ones that are left will be more desperate. This is usually around 1 to 3am, but depends on the night.

- Be straightforward but not rude when you 'solicit' a girl. Just remember: she's looking for a fuck too, but girls hate feeling dirty. If you try to take a girl home, ask her if she'd like to kiss you. You can usually tell how interested a girl is by her reaction to that question.

a very good language and most thanks for these fine tips... this is precisely the strategy a brother will get success with these girls, cause yes one must remembers that they also looking for a fuck.  Also the most important tip is confidence, yes... sometimes if trying to pull really hot girl, just treating her like a normal person will have effect... it is often the hottest girl who is the most insecure about her looks...saying "Hey Baby, you look fine" is just going to increase her feeling of discomfort... Would it not be better to start something like... "hey whats up?" Ya lame i know... but you must look her in the eye and make her feel that she want to talk to you without threat of sexual hook up, you just want to talk, get to know her friend like ... once feeling at ease body language will tell you how to proceed, so maybe you fuck a really hot girl, or maybe you get one as a 'friend'... happy hunting...

There are many 'hotties' in LKF that is for sure, but the work involved is just too much for me this days... and who wants the baggage after... to quote a great movie... "sometimes you just want the honesty and security of a whore"...
