I am the Asian guy. Even my great grand father come from china. I cannot speak any form of Chinese.
If i would like to take travel to the mainland or Hongkong, is it possible to find the one that can speak English with me.
Is it very difficult and dangerous for the one that cannot speak Chinese and want to travel like this.

I don't speak chinese languege (what ever the dialects are). Only know two words "hello" and "cheers" in chinese.

I've spent many many weeks alone in the country side of Hainan. Many times a week goes so that I don't meet
anyone speaking any of the languages I can. So I speak my mother language and the people speak using theirs.

We get really good laughs! So the ice gets broken.

I communicate also using pictures. I have made a set of small photos showing the most obvious things I need. Like
beer, tee, strong allchol, all kind of food that I've eaten there. Some pictures of village signs where I regulary go.
Also a picture of a toilet sign is very handy!

Never had any problems. Using sign language, drawing, acting, ... just like kids do when they don't speak.

It's our body language that counts, that is actually the most important part of comminication. Use your mother
language, then yopur body will react correctly and you don't neet to worry. Of course say using the words you'd
use speaking in this situation back home!

Also never been any problems with the girls. I treat them niceöy and I get treated nicely.

Have had a couple short stays in HK and used the same method.

Lots of people that speak no chinese whatsoever go to the mainland and HK to punt...

I did it.  

Its as safe as it is anywhere else.  If you let bad things happen, its your own fault.  

Though I am starting to think more and more that if you have to ask if its safe, its not safe for you.

Well if you are ever in the Dongguan/Changping area, there are guides there to help you out. I was there a few months ago and fellow named BSDave helped me out. You get to meet a lot of other punters there as well. As long as you have a fairly decent personality, language is not really a big deal. I speak all of five words in Chinese, but I managed to spend a week there with no issues.

However, I did find a rare girl who spoke broken English which is a bit rare in the second or third tier cities.

Just go to sauna and say, "wo shi hen ke ai de xiong mao.". Show some maos.  When you get into the room, just say, "wo ke yi bu yong tao ma?" it works for me!

I know what you are trying to say with that pinyin, however the second part could go many different ways depending on how he asks the question.

just go to the USA then.. or stick to hong kong.

Go to Bejing or Shanghai and enroll in one of thse language schools for foreigners - 3 months there will completely solve your problem !

Chinese is not one of those languages you learn in 3 years, much less 3 months!

I'm quite sure more and more Chinese are starting to learn a bit of basic english as China has already opened its doors to the world now that many factories and businesses are already established in that country.

Good question for a newbie. Not a lot of skill needed:

1. knock on door
2. smile at girl who opens it
3. produce erect dick
4. put condom on Item 3 above.
5. insert Item 4 above (with Item 3) into girl's snatch
6. ejaculate
7. remove condom
8. pay girl
9. leave
10. repeat

Do you need photos or is the above clear enough?

Months and months ago one of our colleagues here posted a very amusing diagram of the steps but with more detail, something like a programming decision tree, ending with being given a drink of lemon tea by the girl and then "fxxking off". Perhaps one of the moderators can post this again.

I have many expat friends who after going to one of these language schools for 3 - 6 months came back with fluent mando ! ... and they even managed to learn to write a little chinese as well ...

Some years ago in Taiwan,  i was shocked  a Black American spoke to me in fluent Mandarin while inside the elevator.
I wasnt able to answer back asap and he called me dumb as he went out of the elevator.
Many Westerners seem to learn the Chinese language fast.
