Putonghwa Translation Please

I have an elementary grasp of Mandarin, and can speak better than I can here.

I have heard the following phrase from lots of different girls:

"hao li hi" or "hao ni hi" (Sorry I can't show the tones here). best as I can tell it means something like "good skill".

Any idea what this means? I could ask my wife but of course she would want to know says this to me, and why

Anyone?

here's the link to a dictionary. Really, were you THAT terrible?

Anyways, I guess you figured it out already, it means "awesome" or something to that extent. Similar to "GING" in cantonese =P

I'm sorry I didn't understand the humor in this, although I'm sure to those who did, it was very funny..

You mean to say "hao(2) li(4) hai(4) chui(1) niou(1)"?  What does that mean?  Good at bullshitting?

The OP seemed to ask what "hao(2) li(4) hai(4)" meant, and that of course is a very common phrase that literally means "really strong" and the most ready American slang equivalent would be "you got mad skillz" or if said in the bedroom, "you're a stud."

"chui niou" sort of means "showing off". I think JckJr was referring to the OP's purpose in posting this thread, s'all! Just an innocuous quip.

Well, if you mean "you are good" or "you have good skill", then it should be "hao li hai" in the pinyin writing. In the actual mandarin: 好厉害.
