I just learned that one of my regulars, Rose (my first-ever report on 141 was about her), is in the hospital because some bastard punter beat the crap out of her.  Her eyes are swollen shut.  Had her friend (I know her too) sms me because she couldnt do it herself.

I've known this girl for a few years now and have seen her perhaps 20 times - I KNOW she is not the type to try to rip a guy off (I've done over-nites with her several times).  Appparently he was really, really rough with her during foreplay, she got a bit spooked and tried to flee the room, and then he punched her 2 or 3 times square in the face and stole her bag and ran.  What a fucking cowardly bastard asshole.  Fuckin robbed her too!!  I guess this was his plan to begin with - fuck her then rob her.   

What I cant figure out is how it could happen and how the guy could get away with it...  Apparently they were at a love hotel - but one I dont really know --- called Marlboro Hostel in Causeway Bay.  (???).  Wouldnt a guy be terrified to make that kind of commotion in a hotel??  The hotel staff came in immediately (guess they saw the guy bolting out of the room and down the stairs and figured something was wrong).  But -- my gal begged them not to call police -- she's overstayed her visa!  (hmm, maybe that's how he selects a gal - tries to find over-stayers so they are afraid to go to LE). The hotel staff was good enough to call her friend and help get her to the Sanitorium hospital.  

I thought about describing the guy on this forum, but I fear it could turn into a racial-profiling thing which I am not keen to start.

Reminds of what happened to another regular of mine, C.  Same thing except she managed to get out of the room before getting badly hurt.  Scared the crap out of her, however.  Same guy I bet.  Fucker!

I dont know how hotel/motel operates in Hk but here in the Phil, both should come out together and they'll be allowed to leave otherwise, if one of the couple wants to go out and the other one still stayed in the room, the reception will call up the one in the room and ask permission if one be allowed to leave alone.
Murders do happen in such hotels/motels so management are cautious to prevent these things from happening at their motels/hotels.

Not the same here - I rarely enter or leave the room with my gal.  We always enter/exit seperately for discretion and it is never a problem in HK.

I don't know how this dude would know that she has overstayed her visa prior to picking her out though.  I mean would he chat up every gal until he comes across one that lets him know that they have overstayed??

Regardless of how as you have mentioned that it may be the same guy, and there is no way of reporting this dude for the protection of the WG's with expired visas as he will definitely be laying low from the bar scene for the next little while.  

Unfortunately these are the type of risks involved in the business which actually started the whole CCTV thing for walk up's.

She said the guy was from India.  The other gal I mentioned, C, also said the guy was from India (though this was quite a while ago now - last spring I think).  Anyway, it sure sounds like the same guy to me.

Just spoke to Rose's friend.   Seems she's in the operating room.  Guess the guy had a ring on or something and it's caused damage. Fuck'n hell it breaks my heart - Rose is a sweet sweet girl.  I didn't realize at first how bad she was hurt - but not just a black eye.  

And yeah --- she hasn't asked yet, but I can't imagine where the funds will come from to pay for it.  I do know she was a pretty big earner and was a very "committed" WG, but I doubt she has all she needs to pay the bill.

In the U.S., I think there's a law that requires medical practitioner to report injuries like Rose's.

I wonder if there is also such requirement in Hong Kong?
And if not, and since she's NOT an illegal over-stayer, perhaps you should suggest strongly that she still go ahead and report the matter; you could volunteer to assist her doing this as I know that a lot of these foreign WG's are very reluctant to be in direct contact with any authorities in Hong Kong - and will feel a lot safer if there's an expatriate who will go with her.

I would think that there must be CCTV footage of her and the guy somewhere to assist the HK police to apprehend the bastard. If I remember correctly, the guy who actually murdered a Walk up girl in the course of him robbing her a couple or so years ago was also a National of India; they caught him and thus you could tell her this to re-assure her that the police in Hong Kong do do their job well/properly.

Well two things:

First, as jm322 pointed out, Rose HAS overstayed.  Personally, I think she is screwed from an immigration point of view - as I agree with you that I think the police will be informed.  I dont know yet...  not sure about Hong Kong laws as far as this goes.

But second --- how can I possibly get involved and have my name in any way associated with this??  Not a chance I can do that.  I have an SO here.  

The only way I can assist is with cash if she needs help paying her bill.  That is something I CAN do.

Also, here's a question. --- I have been lucky enough that I havent had to be hospitalized here (knock on wood) but in the states getting treatment without showing capability to pay is tough.  I wonder how it works here?  If she gets discharged in a week (I hope... no idea at this point) with a umpteen-thousand-HK-bill and she can pay, say, half ---  well what happpens?  You can an invoice to pay in 30 days?  They hold you captive?  I got no idea.

Her friend took her to the Sanitorum hospital in Happy Valley? That is going to cost her a lot as that is the hospital the rich ppl go. Too bad her friend didn't take her to the nearby Ruttonjee which is a govt hospital and will be less expensive. Overall since she is not a legal resident of HK, she will have to pay the non-resident prices which can be quite pricey.


I think this is a tough question, but maybe in this case she should report the incident to the police so that they can go catch this guy. Ethically if she doesn't report this guy, this guy will become embolden and go on to beat and rob other wgs until he is finally stopped by the police. How many victims does it take before one victim is brave enough to report him to the police? Deportation is a small price to pay but her she can always come back later.

In addition if she doesn't report this guy, the indian (and other SE Asian) bros will be finding out that they are not getting any love from wgs anymore as the word would have gone out on the wg grapevine that indians are dangerous. Until the bastard is caught and wgs reassured that the right man was caught, our SE Asian bros will be suffering the consequences for a long time.

I am pretty sure the police will be involved, and I've told her she should go for the sake of her friends as well.  I havent heard any more updates yet.

I have heard there are 2, maybe 3 dudes doing this. I have been told this by WGs. I have also had a similar description (aggressive behaviour with WGs in Wan Chai mentioned to me by friends, they have seen a similar thing).  Unfortunately I may also have some first hand experience. Obviously I have no proof we are talking about the same assholes but it's worth mentioning because the jerks I refer to were definitely assholes.

I mention this because these guys "looked" Indian as well. I don't know what their nationality was. I echo your thoughts about not making this a race issue because I have some very good Indian friends and there are good and bad Bros everywhere. I'm from AUS and we aren't perfect either is lets not make this a race issue.

About 12 months ago I was at Traffik in Wan Chai. I was on my own waiting for some friends. It's maybe 930 - 10pm??? There is an absolute dickhead bullying a WG. Pinning her to the bar, trying to kiss her while she turned away. She was asking him to stop and he refused. He had "crazy" eyes. He was fairly heavy set but not fat, a little taller than me, maybe 6' 2" - 6' 3". Shaved Head.

He goes to the toilet and before walking off, points to the Wg and say "you better f*cking be here when I get back bitch!" She looked shit frightened, even tears in her eyes so I went over and said to her "just go, leave and if he asks I will say you have gone to the bathroom and that will buy you some time". She says "but where? I just arrived (at the bar not HK) and need to work". I thought, oh well and gave her $100 and said jump in a taxi and go to Hari's Bar. She didn't know what I was talking about so I gave her a hotel card I had in my wallet (just in case I need to find my way home pissed) and as she headed to the elevator the prick comes back. He doesn't see where she has gone... starts swearing and his friend walks over from a seat off to the side.

The friend is about same height, slim, short slicked back hair, big nose, panda eyes. He points straight at me and says something like "yadda yadda yadda... it was all his fault". Great, 2 of them. They both walk over and stand right behind me. A guy who was sitting near by senses trouble and moves away.

So the bald dude says "you a fucking racist mate". I look at him, then see the elevator door close with the girl inside, then look back at him and say, "look mate, I don't want any trouble, I just having a drink". He starts getting shitty and says, this is f*cking Asia you c*nt, we are all part of Asia and you a f*cking racists, see him (points to his friend) he saw what you did, you think that bitch  is too good for me, you a f*cking racist.

A 3rd Bro comes over, a little shorter this guy, maybe 5' 11". long face, panda eyes, slick back wavy hair. He puts his arm around me and says, "you know who we  are? We could buy and sell you 50 times over mate. How much money you make? I guarantee I make 10 times what you make and you think that bitch is too good for me? Now you f*ck off AND MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS or next time your in trouble, now f*ck off!"

I say "listen mate, I don't want any trouble, I'm going to finish my drink, meet some friends and then go." He says "you just watch yourself mate, you a f*cking racists."

I decided not to rush my drink, I felt fairly safe in the bar with so many people around and worried what might happen if I got in the lift with all 3 of them so I relaxed, ignored them and when a few friends of mine arrived the trouble makers disappeared.

I walked over to the bar tender and say "i know I don't come here often but what the f*ck are you doing ignoring that. Did you see what that jerk was doing to the girl?" he asks dumb so I ask to see the manager. I get sick of waiting so we leave. As we get into the lift a girl slips in and says she is a friend of the original girl. I ask if she went to Hari's and she says no, she was scared and went "home". She told me these guys, especially the 2 taller Bros do this often, very aggressive with the girls and "we are all scared of them". Apparently they were originally just pushy and arrogant but as few and few girls wanted to talk to them they became more and more aggressive.

I have since heard the story 2 other times from friends, similar MO and description. Plus they wear some heavy gold jewellery which I didn't notice. I haven't been to HK since last December so not sure what happened in the end but I just wonder if there is any relationship between the jerks I saw and the situation you mention? They looked capable based on the treatment of the WG.

If she overstayed, she would not dare to go to a hospital.
Even though Yeung-wo is a private hospital, they will still report to police when they see her passport.
And if she hasn't ask money from u yet, then don"t worry.
Because at Yeung-wo hospital, mainland patients need to pay the medical bills upfront.

some of u guys remember a few yrs back when some seriously evil bastard was actually killing WGs, he was operating in the NTs (Tsuen Wan, i think) and the gals there were looking out for each other. then for some reason, he targeted a new building in Tin Hau--address was "96 Electric Road" but the entrance was on a side-street. only a few girls working there, but this perp (as it happens, he was South Asian) murdered some WG there, and they caught him. can't recall the details, cd check the SCMP archive. took him to the site with the "owl" black-pillow over his head to re-create the crime, and either locked him up or deported him to some place with less comfy prisons.

very much the exception rather than the rule, but it saddens and sickens me. also TT's tale of sociopaths acting violent in bars. if there's anything in the karma-principle, these sad-sack fuckwits will reincarnate as intestinal parasites in some particularly grotesque rodent.

meanwhile, hope the best for Rose and her situation. and hope there's some CCTV-footage somewhere that will help nail the creep!

Being a bad little boy catches up with you and hope that those indians you mentioned get a taste of their own medicine one day.   I often visit the Wanchai bars on my visits to HK but not seen this problem.  I would have thought there would be bouncers in Traffik preventing this sort of incident from happening.

But from what I've experienced, on the other side of the pond, is that Indians are usually shit-starters, it's something about acting tough and drinking alcohol makes them want to fight EVERYONE. That's why some bouncers over here refuse to let a group of Indian girls/guys in, cause they know what will/might happen.

I do have a few Indian friends that are real chill and don't have the tough guy mentality, but those are the minority. I've once asked an Indian girl I went to school with about what they think of Indian guys? She literally said trash and the people that are from India/just arrived in America are "even worse, scum and monster"

I'm not sure how HK law works, especially with Visa-overstaying but if the police gets involved one way or another, I think she would have to help the police catch those guys, because if they did it to her, they'll probably do it again and in the long run, it'll be better and safer for other WGs.

Wow.., that is a real testament to the heart this community has, and the quality of the Bros that frequent it.  I am touched guys.., and Rose would be thankful.  Thank you!  I dont know if I will need to take you up on any offers, but it is bloody grand of you to have offered!

As of this a.m. she says she's doing better.  One eye remains totally swollen shut, bruised and bloody - but they dont think she'll be left with scars.  (I think I feared this the most - a young girl with scars on her face?  So tough for her ego and self-esteem, right?)  I just hope full vision is restored.  Her english is good, but not quite good enough to explain what the operations (she had one yesterday and one scheduled for today) are actually for (she might even just mean "stiches" and not an actual operation, but I cant quite tell).  But the fact she remains in hospital says it is serious enough, I guess.  

And her mood is better.  She laughed about it and happy to talk to me about it.  Seems her agent is being pretty supportive of her too, so that is cool -- she didnt just bail out on Rose when the paycheck stopped coming!  Good on her...   

And she has spoken to the police!!  She gave a full account of what happened and the best description she could.  Damn good for that!  Hope they catch the bugger.  Seems she has over-stayed on her visa by only a few days (not weeks or months), so she'll be booted out yes, but perhaps not treated with the maximum harshness and blacklisted for two years.  We'll see.
