Yes, it would depend on the WG/HG. Some will be open for business and some will take the day off. Hotel girls more likely to be still working, as they are here to earn maximum money within a short time.

It should be business as usual if there are clients out there calling for their services.

I would assume the HGs and the 24hrs walk-ups would be open because the girls live on the premises. As for the other walkups with working times listed, those I assume would be hit-and-miss as the girls would have to come over from their homes and that is only possible for those who only need to take mtr as all ferries, taxis, buses are unavailable at Typhoon Signal 8.

I can vouch that some saunas like GFS in cwb are always open during typhoons as I was there overnight yesterday. Available sauna girls would be either those who happened to be on premises when the Signal 8 went up or those who live close enough to a mtr to come over and help out. From what the locker guys told me, sometimes during typhoons 8 and above the sauna would be packed to the gills, no free lockers available for late arrivals.

If I had to suffer 'log cabin fever' with family while cooped up at home during a typhoon for a whole day, I would rather spend it at a sauna, relaxing at the waiting lounge with hot meals, nice long massages, and a nice HE to make the time pass by.

most of the PRC WGs will be working.
they have absolutely no concept of typhoon8.

in China, even during typhoon 8, schools are still open, everyone still have to work.
to them, it's just strong wind and heavy rain, better to keep the bicycles at home.

Definitely it is business as usual, all you need to do is to show up in front of the door. Some not-so-nice WG may charge you higher! Again, it depends on your negotiation. Have fun and enjoy
