Hey everyone, this is the offshoot from the big flamefest that is the shaving thread. So here's another personal question that in the big scheme of things doesn't matter but will probably get people to argue.

Are you circumcised? And if so, did you have any choice?

My answer is yes I am, but no I didn't have a choice in the matter. Was Ced when I was born. I've gotten used to it by now, but personally I think having foreskin would've been easier when I was going through puberty so I didn't have to experiment so much to find out what lube works and what doesn't!

Discuss (or argue, yell, whatever!)

Luckily, I didn't have a choice, because it happened when I was about 30 mins old. Can't say that I miss it.

I would think that it's more pleasant for the girl who has your tool in her mouth not to have to deal with that extra flap of skin. Someone should take a survey.

The people fighting AIDS in Africa are now paying for African guys to have circumcisions because it turns out that your chances of becoming infected with HIV are much lower if you have been c'd. Don't remember the exact figure, but it was less than half.

Can any body compare sex with and without being circumcised? Means you'd have be circumcised after becoming
sexually active. Don't most people get circumcised as babies or before puberty?

I know one guy who was circumcised in his 30s because he had penile warts.      

Not all circumcised when they are babies. In fact never heard of it.

From religious point of view, e.g. Muslim....they are obliged to go for circumcision when they reach the age of 12. I learn this form my Uni mate who is a pure muslim. They call this "spiritual purification".

For all I know, circumcised male has greater sensation in sex. Just asked your self, do you prefer BBBJ on your dick head with the layer of foreskin covered?  

Do you know how in the early days circumcision is carried out???? You will not believe how gruesome the method can be !!!

Another thing for sure, circumcised guy are more hygenic and cleaner since the foreskin are not covering the dickhead reducing the moist and make it easier to clean..........told by the same uni mate.

I once asked to be circumcised but I got whacked and dissaproved by my parents.........my parents asked where the hell I get this inclination to cut my foreskin......I told them when I grew up I can have more enjoyable sex like my other friends....Mum said...ok no more discussion..period!!

From that statement I would be certain that you're circumcised. Otherwise, how can you possibly not know what an erect uncircumcised penis looks like?
When erect, there's no foreskin covering the head of the penis. An erect uncircumcised penis looks exactly the same as an erect circumcised penis because
the foreskin is pulled back fully to expose the head.

I think that an uncircumcised penis is far more sensitive than a circumcised penis. You uncircumcised guys - pull back your foreskin and rub the head of your
dick against your underpants for a few minutes. You won't be able to because your the head of your dick is too sensitive. But guys who are circumcised have
the exposed head of their dick rubbing up against their underpants all day long without any discomfort. It's because the head loses its sensitivity after
circumcision due to all this rubbing.


Maybe but not necessarily. I was taught at a very young age how to pull back my foreskin to wash the head of my dick every day.

Due to increased sensitivity the sex might be better of guys who are uncircumcised. But the reduced sensitivity might mean that circumcised guy are less likely
to suffer from premature ejaculation. Pros and cons I suppose.

My family doc recommended circumcision when I was well into my 20s as the medics at the time said it made one
less prone to STDs. This was before AIDS had been invented and I thought about my old doc who died years ago
when I read the reports which said becoime circumcised lessens the risk of getting AIDS. I agree entirely with
your list of pros and cons. I know that after I got circumcised I had far fewer wet dreams and premature ejaculations but
I seem to remember the dickhead being far more sensitive before. A really good BJ could make me come in minutes.
Now, should we go on to discuss foreskin transplants?
I heard rumours years ago that the head of Shaw studios had an entire dick transplant and that he bought a huge dick from a black
guy which he exchanged for his own.

That's pretty much exactly what my friend who was circumcised in his 30s told me - less sensitivity but
more control over the ejaculation. I still don't think the risk of AIDS is sufficient reason to get circumcised
and I'd be surprised if any doctor recommended it. Even though I visit WGs, as long as I wear a condom
for sex, I think I'm at very low risk.

I have had both. I've made a conscious decision to circumcize my Mr. when I was 21. My foreskin was too long and I have suffered an infection previously (phimosis). To prevent the infection from repeating, my doctor suggested circumcision, though it wasn't necessary.  

Now I've experienced both, uncircumcized and circumsized sex. Must say, there isn't much difference for me. I was a bit more sensitive before and that's about it. Some people say that it changes your sexual experience, but I don't know what all the fuzz it about. Though I'm very positive about circumcision in terms of esthetic reasons. My misses back then preferred the looks of my circumcized dick over the previous. At least now she didn't have to retract my skin to give me a proper BJ It also gave me more sexual security, cuz previously I found my dick a bit off. Further, in terms of hygiene it's just easier. I don't think it's more hygienic, cuz I was very clean before too, but just easier to clean.The chance of catching an infection again have slimmed.

The first time I had sex, 6 weeks after the circumcision, it actually hurted I thought, wtf ! It was very intense too and I thought, wow ! This is the real deal ! After a couple of days, the sensitivity fades away and sex was becoming normal again. I'm less sensitive than before and tend to hold out longer. Nowadays I tend to enjoy the blowjobs more than before, especially when they're slurping my little head. I think that's the big pro, the blowjobs are much better now ! But that's maybe personally   My current girlfriend likes that I'm circumcized, the working girls like it (they often giggling say " he's pretty " and give me the best head afterwards ), I like it. I'd recommend it, but it's still cutting your dick.

Jake, I am sorry but I am not circumcized, still have my foreskin intact.....in fact my statements are based on experience of my fellow friends...we discuss about it alot in high school and uni. Always  curious to know what;s the difference in terms of sensation though most of them did it due to religious reason.
Furthermore, as what Asslover posted, there are some clinical and medical reason why circumcision is inevitable...the foreskin is extended to long above the dickhead.
There is another reason for some male to go for circumcision........his foreskin cannot and difficult to pull back making the foreskin covered the dickhead all the time which he will not be able to have sex conveniently...this happen when the dick gets a hard on.
In fact, I did have this problem when I was a teenage and at that point I did really want to get circumcise. I show my dick to my fren and he tease me......Man, if u dun get circumcised, u are not gonna taste the joy of life.......I get really worried. Told this to my older btother and he told me he had the same problem before but  I dun have to go to the extend of circumcision.........that;s how I knew about Masturbation....it does loosen the foreskin eventually.

Hygenic wise....well beside easier to clean....I still think it is and less prone to infection. Especially when after peeing, there is tend to have some retention of pee on the dick...making the dickhead moist and at the end of the day.........the smell becomes unbearable....especially for those who work under the sun/ labour sort of.......
And for some they are prone to bacteria infection...one good example is Uninary Tract Infection. Doc (my cousin) says circumcision can reduce the recurrence of UTI..
Again, this was also concurred by my circumcised frens.

Sensitive.........initial stage....yes....but later stage it becomes normal (as per Asslover)...yeah perhaps the virgin rules apply here...........same when I during my 1st masturbation...

I think you're probably right that most gals prefer a circumcised dick because they can see right away that it's clean and
healthy. Peeling back that foreskin in the shower, I bet thay just never know what they might find.     

Wow, you had sex 6 weeks after the circumcision. I'm sure my friend told me it was few months before he dared to do it
again. But I always thought it was probably because he didn't have a GF. If a bros in bed next to a gal - he's gonna fuck her,

Yeah, I know there are some mediical reasons for having a circumcision - like the foreskin being too long or too tight - OUCH; that sounds
painful when you get a hard on.     But the idea of doing it for religious or cultural reasons just sounds barbaric. I've read that a lot
of doctors refuse to do it unless there's a proper medical reason.

Talkin bout barbaric.....if u see my post #5.......I post a question on the method of circumcisioon in early days........u will not believe it. These are practice in the region of Malaya and Borneo ( I think this includes indonesia).......since thy do not have sterilise or such in early days.....they have to resort to "natural" utensils to perform the cut of the foreskin.........

They use ......BAMBOO..........sort of like the 2 blades to behead a wrongdoer in the old days.

Take a green bamboo (newly chop off from the tree). Chop thru the bamboo but not all the way......just like the disposable chopstick...where u have on the top edge of the 2 sticks holding on to each other. The edge of this green bamboo cuts like a knife but less bacteria prone...........

For religious/cultural.....I do not have problem with that. Everybody has their own belief and rules to follow.

Until recently almost all American boys were circumcised at birth. Current policy is to leave the foreskin on. I understand that circumcision is relatively rare among the Europeans.

Circumcision is one of those things that if you've had it done, there isn't any great advantage or disadvantage. If you haven't been circumcised, there's no reason to have the operation. Tho there are people who require circumcision because of medical problems like foreskin abnormalities, warts, and various infections of the penis.

But there have been studies that indicate a reduced susceptibility to HIV infection among the circumcised.

The waxy buildup under the foreskin is called smegma, by the way. It's a word most English speakers have heard but few know the meaning of.

Fore those who are careful to wash under the foreskin, hygiene is not an issue.

I don't think there is any great difference in feeling between the two.

Female circumcision, or clitorectomy, is a horrible practice. It involves surgically removing the outermost part of the clitoris. It's still practiced in northeast African countries. The custom has been around for ever, but has nothing to do with Islam. Lately the Egyptian government has been trying to eradicate this tradition.

but what;s the pros and cons for female?? circumcision for male, yes we do know ....but why on female from medical or sex point of view?
Do it do any good to the female? Hygienic wise? Sensitivity wise?
