I was at the supermarket and I saw a bunch of Japanese brands, I was pretty clueless.

I've only used brands popular in the US like Trojans and durex and lifestyles.

I had one of those three had a special one with a tiny bit of desensitizer on the tip.  Mind you I don't like too much of that stuff otherwise I can't feel anything and it sucks, but this was just a bit, enough to let me go the extra mile without losing much feeling.

Any suggestions for the brands out here, there are so many Japanese choices I couldnt make heads or tails.

Also, Separate question: have any of you found a particular one that has a desensitizer that has worked successfully?



Actually I checked, it's called, climax controlled Trojan.  Works well for me, i only have 2 left...

I use Japanese condoms almost exclusively.

Okamoto 003s - Real Fit (no reservoir tip) and the Platinum ones; both are latex
Sagami 002 and Sagami 002 Platinum (or is it Premium); both are polyurethane

For me, these are the best of all condoms I have used (have used Trojans, Durex, Lifestyles, Ansell, and other lesser known brands). If not available, I would fall back on Durex Avanti (polyurethane).

Apparently there are polyisoprene condoms now (from what I've read - basically synthetic latex without the allergies) but I haven't tried them.

Is polyurethane also an alternative to latex to prevent allergies?  I've encountered a couple ladies who got rashes from latex.

Crown condoms, especially the super thin are very popular, at least here in NYC where they all use it in Asian FS joints.

I read somewhere that a lot of Japanese pornos use this brand of condom.

agreed..used crown condoms a few times and feel pretty good. when compared to durex or any other NA brands..it's ridiculously thin! anyone know where you can buy them in nyc?

If you are happy with Trojans or durex I'd say keep to the brands you know best.... Why change something when you are satisfied with what you have, or if your not happy with them then try the Japanese ones.... I'll highly doubt the supermarket would sell them if there're shit! Lol

true..i tried the japanese ones b/c i wanted to try something new...imho i don't really like NA brands..but they do the job!

It was more out of curiosity, and thinking to try something new, plus read a few stories of guys having condoms break, wanted to make sure none of the Japanese ones fell into that category.

I am a big fan of the Sagami Original 002.  Note that there's another version called Sagami Extreme which I believe is actually latex and does not (in my opinion) feel as good/thin as the Original.

Have used Okamoto's before and now using ones, fairly cheap that i bought on the PRC. Have never experienced any breakages with any brand, from Durex to the cheaper ones in PRC. Doesnt make much difference to me tbh

Choice of condoms basically depends on how long you take to come. If you come easilly then I would not recommend the Sagami 0.02 polyurathane condoms cause polyurathane is suppose to allow heat transfer which is the closest feel to almost not wearing a condom so using this condom will shorten your pleasure time. So only the polyurathane super thin condoms should be used by those that takes a long time to come. If you are someone that comes easilly, then you should use the thickest latex condoms. Latex do not allow heat transfer which makes it not as sensitive hence prolonging your orgasm. All condoms meets an minimum international standard for strenght and testing. Polyurathane are 3 times stronger that Latex, however, as I mentioned it is not for those that comes easily. No point getting a condom that feels so good but you last 5-10secs. My take on chemicals that numbs your didi is that the chemicals will damage your didi in the long run so it does more harm than good. Just pick the right condom which is latex and thicker if you want to last a little longer.

Most pharmacies in Chinatown sell them and the price is cheap too, $4/5 for a 12/15 pack. I've never bought Crown condoms anywhere else so I have no idea where else they're sold.
