Been punting for 8 years now. Estimate I've spent about US$40K on punting.

Given the exchange rate is ~HK$8 - US$1 that is HK$40k a year.  Or a pop a week for the last 8 years.

Sound about right?

The first time I punted was in 2006 and have only done it several times since - enough to count with one hand.
I estimate $5k total.

I only recently started in Hong Kong but plan to give myself a budget every month for hobbying ~ $2k? thats about 2-3/month which would equal to about $24k/year.

OMFG if i even tried to estimate my brain would boil screaming out of my ears.

i look at it this way:
it's a hobby.
to me, it's The Hobby.

i'm not rich. i'm not broke. i don't own a car/Rolex/flat/house/yacht/cat/dog/stamp collection.

now, at an age barely thinkable even a few centuries ago, i'm still sexually active and enjoying carnal delights with women younger than the daughters i don't have either.

i'm still pretty damn healthy. the body inevitably declines, but the accumulated wisdom includes an equally uncountable number of orgasms both myself and with an uncountable number of women who knew how to enjoy themselves.

i'm not sitting in some freezing cold basement in Des Moines jerking off to some Jenna Jameson video while my wife upstairs is plotting with some lawyer to cleave my assets in twain with a legal samurai sword.

as a nerd in high-school who was generally loathed and unlaid, i could never have imagined 1% of the adventures i've had, and i'm a long way from done. if a minibus hops the sidewalk and cancels my contract tomorrow, i hope my life flashes in front of my eyes first because it's going to be a rollercoaster-heaven ride of firm pert breasts, asses you could bounce HK$5 coins off of, smiling eyes and lips wrapped around my cock, and i will slide into hell with the biggest grin in Hong Kong.

Just tonight, my friend hosted a party at the Eurasia and it cost RMB 5861 - discounted from 8326 - for the 10 of us.  It's no big deal as he loves to treat us and can afford it; he just loves to party. Oh yea, I'm gonna have to treat them back - but it'll all work out.

After all, we work to enjoy ourselves - but on the same token, if we cannot afford it - its also no big deal as there is always another way to enjoy ourselves.

When I was in college, we could have a blast for less then US$ 10 between us - and I also had a couple months when I figured I had spent over HK$ 100,000 just on screwing around.  Which one did I enjoy more? OK.... I enjoyed myself just as much on both occassion.

The amount of money is not really relevant - its how much one enjoys oneself with whatever is availalble at the time. Enjoy everything whilst it is there.

Unless I take into account buying a case of Rose sparkling wine, beer, vodka and mixers and inviting a bunch of people to my room for a party and ended up one big orgy, that costs liver damage, braincells and maybe about 50francs in Drinks

It is a huge sum, but to put it into perspective - - I could punt as I have for many lifetimes before it equals what I paid my ex in the divorce.  Bottom line, it is much less expensive to pay many a WG than to say "I do".

LOL!  I wish I could share you bros' perspective and not care how much I spend on the hobby.  But for me, with loads of bills to pay and the possibility of lay-offs looming, I have to maintain a strict budget...hence the infrequent visits to AAMPs.

Since I started the hobby in late 2005, I think I've maybe spent around $3k USD.  More than I would have preferred, but these dry spells have been killing me!  Maybe I should just be celibate!  I'm really trying to avoid P4P until I get into my next relationship (and break up).  

Not a lot in comparison, estimate at $50,000 - over 2.5 years

us$30,000 in 2 yr i dont mine spending on punting as it makes me feel happy. so i agree that mostly money isnt really a factor it is the experience

by my estimate, some USD 40K. enough to get the second hand Porsche 964 I am after. No regrets at all, except not enough time to do more!

Actually I believe if you did tell us what you think you've spent on WG so far in your youg life, I truly think you'll boggle most bros here !!!

I freely admit I've spent BIG on women ... esp WGs and I don't think I'm too far off fron what you've spent, even though you might have 10 or so years of punting more then me.  

OMG.  By my estimates using the current exchange rate, I've spent equivalent to around US$70,000 already.  

But that was in accumulation for about 30 years! Yipes... there goes my age.

Not that much $ per year compared to most of you, but since the average price for decent punting here in Manila is not as high as HK HG, (betweenHK$270-$540/punt- which is only half of what you guys are paying for HG), that means I've got more gals in my lifetime than most of you! LOL.

All bros, thanks for sharing the information. I just thought it's interesting information to share or chat about in this section of the forum. I'm not making any judgment about whether it's too much or not..it's just a number.

To me, I just consider the expenditure as part of something that I enjoy doing. Like going for a holiday, or driving fast cars, or going out clubbing, etc...

Again, look forward to reading about how much other bros have spent lifetime. Particularly interested in experienced bros like SEAJ...haha...(don't feel compelled to share of course!)

to me it's a little like this... do I spend a little more money or frequent flyer points to fly Business Class or 1st Class rather than economy? The motivation and value is far greater before the flight than it is afterwards. When I dont do it I arrive in HK thinking... that wasn't so bad... when I do upgrade I arrive in HK thinking... if I flew economy I'd still be the same person as I am now but I'd have extra punting cash...

Actually there is little reason for me to think that way since I travel for business and the airline upgrades me frequently anyway, however these thoughts are in the back of my mind from time to time and relate to this topic.

No question the logic of spending $1,000 - $2,000 on a punt seems much more sensible while your hunting & punting, than it does as she leaves your room the next morning. The one's I really like are the ones I am thinking about "next time" I am with that WG as she leaves... the "can't wait till next time" factor tells me the money was well worth it.

So I tried to do a little estimate of my spend and decided it was too hard, too embarrassing and not something I wanted to do, afterall... when I look back on money spent it never feels quite as worth while as when I look forward at money I plan on spending... the thrill of "next time"!
