Ok, fellow bros, something has been bothering me for the past two weeks. I have grown some sort of fascination for white girls and can't get it off my mind. I, personally, never thought much of interracial relationships although I was open to it; the reason is because I found myself rarely attracted to women who aren't Asian (bear in mind that I am Asian). But I have not been able to keep my mind off white girls lately. And its not even a particular few but just any. Blonde haired blue eyed, tall athletic brunette. There is something wrong. I'm sure that many of the members here are ABCS, BBCs, and CBS who have had considerably time living abroad in the western world; have you guys experienced or are experiencing a similar thing? Let's not limit this topic of conversation to just WG's (even if there is some to be found in HK), I am talking about any pretty white girl?

But after pondering a bit about why I have suddenly become an admirer of white chicks, I started to think why there is an imbalance in the proportion of (White Guy, Asian Girl) VS (Asian Guy, White Girl) couples. It's a well documented phenomenon and I think Wong Fu products made a skit on this. (See here for the comedic skit.

But let us dive into an investigation of our own:

When considering the population of interracial couples between two specific races (or rather ethnicities) as we are dealing with (Caucasian vs Asian), there does not appear to be any clear reason why there would be a gender bias. But there, clearly is (and we shall not doubt this fact for the purposes of our inquiry). So we must attribute a cause.

Possible Cause #1: Behavioral differences due to culture
If it were to be cultural issue, then it must be a cultural issue where there is a gender bias, meaning the cultural effects are different between the men and women in a given race. For example, I think one popular belief is that both Caucasian men and women are more outgoing whereas Asians are more reserved, or shy, if you will.

Due to the difference of gender roles, a shy man will hardly ever work out with a outgoing strong girl. But a outgoing guy goes well along a shy obedient girl? So if Caucasian women are so "fiercely independent" and outgoing how will they get a long with a "sensitive" shy Asian guy.

Please note I  do not agree with the above stereotypes. I think though that it has become a common popular belief.

Maybe ill leave other possible causes for later after we have discussed this further!

P.S. Please don't take this too seriously. Just try to think about it a bit and have a laugh. I have tried to write carefully, in the sense that I do not offend.

I like this topic personally, as I also observe the great disparity when it comes to mixed couples. It's usually Caucasian men and Asian women and rarely vice versa.

I had a Caucasian female friend and I asked her about it. She told me that it's not that she doesn't like Asian guys, it's just the guys don't appear interested on white women. Whether that's due to timid personality, preference to Asian women or other reason, she does not know.

I think the answer is simply that there are many millions of pretty Asian girls of numerous ethnicity who would like a chance at a better life. There are also a lot of "single again" white guys with at least "some" financial means looking for new love. So this combination is well suited.

The reverse combination doesn't exist in the same numbers and just as importantly in the same circumstances.

Good for you, hope you have fun with some caucasian chicks. A Japanese friend of mine told me how he really likes long legged blondes. When I asked why he said coz they are so "exotic". Makes me laugh because we think blondes are normal and Asian girls are exotic. I guess that also helps explain the situation.

For the total world's population, only 5 to 8% have blonde hair and blue eyes.  It's a little higher if you consider some females dye their hair.  Having red hair is even rarer. Only 1% to 2% of the world's population has red hair.  I think the percentage of Caucasian is decreasing every year as the world's population is growing ......

A side note, in the north western part of China, they found mommies with red and blonde hair.   Oh, it's burial  mummies and not "mommies" with red and blonde hair.

i guess tradition is still seeped in in many asian guys. guys tend to like their other half to be smaller than them, gives a 'sense of authority, control' etc. so thus the pairing of asian dudes with western girls is uncommon as lets face it, western folks are generally larger and taller than their asian counterparts

just to clarify, when I say the "reverse situation" doesn't exist in same numbers, I am not talking about blondes, red heads or in fact any specific "look". I am saying that there are not as many caucasian girls in the same socioeconomic circumstances readily accessible and available to "single again" Asian men looking for a new wife. In other words, the reason you see more caucasian men with Asian woman than the other way around is because the "total" circumstances that contribute to the outcome are not as common the other way around.

The comment about my Japanese friend finding blondes exotic is a separate side issue.

I would like to point out here that so far, the discussion about Caucasian women refer to women from Western societies (eg American, UK, etc). These are societies where generally the women are more independent and outgoing compared to Asian girls. By nature, girls are more attracted to guys who are alpha-males, thus Asian guys don't score highly amongst these group of Caucasian women.

However, if you consider that there are lots of Caucasian girls coming from Eastern European countries and Russia, they are very different compared to their Western society counterparts. I'd say that they are closer to Asian girls in terms of independence/outgoingness than they are to Western society girls. Hence, they'll be more receptive to Asian guys. Asian guys just have to man up and be more alpha.

they will. but only when the opposite sex attracts them that is. as far as i know (and adding on to what ive mentioned before) they arnt really that interested in caucasian women save for some uncommon cases.

Aside from the financial/alpha-male/exotic issues, I also believe that Asian guys are taught since young by their parents/elders to have a partner with the same nationality as them.  This is so that the parents can communicate without language barriers with their in-laws, and to have continuity of their family custom and tradition to the next generation and beyond.

You know, those really good asian girls don't like pushy and alpha guys. They like gentle and very caring, considerate guys.

THis is what I observed. Only the asian outgoing girls prefer alpha guys.

Whatever we like to think, This is the future of the world unless asian women accept wake up to this fact. I am sure every asian woman who has been overseas has atleast 1 orgasm to a white man (sexually or nonsexually) in her lifetime. The ones that are social enough and english speaking only go for then white guys. Porn star Tia Tanaka gave an insight into this and the social stigma and woman desires around this topic in an interview about her experiences from high school and other asian girls. She said that her and her asian friends would be so grossed out if they were ever approached by an asian guy. But that if the guy was even an ugly white guy they wouldnt feel so ashamed and would probably say yes. Asian girls neglecting their own race is so damaging and it must be so heart breaking for asian men huh? I mean what do asian men think when they see a white man holding an asian girl? They cant do nothing about it and so the leftover white woman will soon become the future of that asian man. Not bad if you like white woman... but I can see the world will produce some strange looking babies in the future.

Similar thing with Black men and many whites girls.

I always see the white guy/asian girl combo and only a handful of asian guy/white girl. Asian guys white white girls are usually 5'10"+ and has good taste in style, but majority of asians are under 5'10

Absolutely. This thread has got me thinking though... Are asian men really going to be left with that leftover white women who should be with the white man who instead has chosen an asian women? The fact is, the gender ratio is 1.06. This leaves 6 extra men for every 1 women (which may not get a partner). So, say out of those 6 men, 2 white men decide to go with asian girls. This produces a defficiency of asian women for asian men. However, since there are already atleast 4 extra men these asian men do not get that "leftover" white woman. In summary, considering the gender inequality; white men are going for asian women at a rate not enough to eliminate the gender ratio and produce a surplus of white women for asian men. Hence, we do not see as many "Asian Guys and White Girls".

Totaly stupid post.  First of all, where did you get the male female ratio of 1:6?  Out of your butt?  Secondly, assuming you're right about the ratio, you're again mathematically bastardizing the science of statistics, how did you come out with that computation when you didn't lay the premise about the ratio of white against asian, and how many white male/non whites and and male/female asian did you use for your computation?

And why do think "leftover white woman will soon become the future of that asian man".  Do you think human relationship is as simplistic as that?  

You also mentioned "what do asian men think when they see a white man holding an asian girl?", well it depends, it could be that the girl is a wg, his wife/gf, or simply a friend.  Just what one would think if it's the other way around (ie, an asian man holding a white girl).

But you know what?  Most of asian men find the taste of a lot of white men 'exotic' when it comes to asian girls.  We keep noticing that they wouldn't mind having butt-ugly women as their partner (be it gf/wife/fubu).  Although my German friend was also saying that he's wondering why we find their average looking women beautiful.

So, as far as I'm concerned, it was a relief to see some white men getting all the ugly asian girls for themselves, so there will be less ugly asian women for asian men to contend with. Hahaha.

I gather in saying Asian it is meant on this list, someone from east of the Subcontinent (basically east of India/Bangladesh also known as southern Asia), though it's seems even more narrow than that.

From the perspective of a white living in a country that has some pockets of extreme racism, the stereotyping and narrow usage of the word Asian in this thread is all quite amusing.  A  bit like Americans when they talk for all whites.

As a side note
Many Balinese and Javanese men make an OK living as Gigilos in Bali. While it is not classic prostitution as in X000Rp for ST/LT but gifts of money in appreciation, perhaps a motor bike or some money to start a business.
It has been estimated that the amount spent on men by woman in Bali is several times greater than what is spent by men on girls (FL everywhere).
They are very good at both the deed and in getting money without actually asking.  
They are referred to as the Kuta cowboys, many have several sweet hearts sending them money each month, I knew one who spoke German Swedish, Japanese, Korean as well as English and was teaching himself French, they really skill up to the Job. There is a movie/Docco  (haven't seen it) about them it caused an uproar and a temporary crack down.

Some woman like them for the hairless skin but what gets most woman is how attentive they are.
I would assume similar thing would happen in the resort areas of Thailand, never been out side of BK (trips always been work related).

South East* Asians think white skin is more beautiful than brown skin or black as they often call themselves. Whites like brown skin but 100yrs ago whites preferred white skin.

When most people worked outdoors white skin was a sign of wealth as in you were more than a child of a labor (raised indoors and not next to mum in the fields).

Now most people in the west (and soon east asia :-))  work indoors, having a tanned skin is more likely to suggest you earn enough to have time to relax oudoors during daylight .

Societies have evolved to use several physical features as proxies for socio economic background, feet size is a apparently a Chinese one. The foot size makes sense as rural and urban poor have much broader feet than the wealthy.

Marketing just hammers it home, skin whitening products is SEA is big business

As someone else said the girls follow the money, it's their instinct to mate with the best provider. While poetic notions of true love and romance may keep this from the conscious mind, the sub conscious is stacking the deck in favor of the apparently wealthier.
