Hotel under fire for sex toys in rooms

A TRENDY hotel offering guests a range of complimentary sex toys in their rooms has been criticised, but staff say customers love the move.
The Berns Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden recently expanded the range of items it offers guests from tea and coffee, minibar drinks and a Bible, to include sex toys such as vibrators, handcuffs and stockings.

Local authorities, who have been working with the city's hotels to stamp out prostitution, are furious over the move.

"The hotel is trying to glorify something that we are working to de-glorify," local police officer Tom Eckerling told the Sweden's The Local news.

However the hotel remains defiant, insisting that it has received a positive response from guests.

It has no plans to remove the items from guest rooms. However staff "usually" remove them from rooms used by families, the hotel said.

The hotel insists the sex toys won't attract prostitution.

"There is nothing ugly with sex, that is something that we want to show," the hotel's reception manager Andreas L'Estrade said.

Imagine that showing up on your hotel bill and trying to claim it as a company expense!

This is no surprise as I have seen condoms and dildos featured as part of the mini-bar supplements in many hotels in China. These are usually in 2-3 star hotel. The dildo available is the egg shape type with a wire like those featured in JAVs.

Speaking of sex toys and such things, a wg whom I am aware of and who travels to various cities 'on tour' had a red faced experience recently.  She arrived at her hotel, checked in and set up her 'tools of the trade'.  She then ordered room service and when the wait person knocked on the door, the wg put her vibrators under the pillow on the bed.  She was becoming increasing hotter during her dinner and realised that the air con was not working so called reception and they sent someone up to look at the aircon.  They decided that the aircon could not be fixed immediately, so wg was moved to another room.  

Sometime later she realises that her vibes were still under the pillow in the original room so she contacts reception to explain that she had left something personal in the previous room and needed a key to go and retrieve it.  She gets a key from reception and goes back to the original room but the vibes are not there. So back to reception and somewhat embarrassed she explains discretely to the reception staff member what she had left behind and that they were no longer in the room under the pillow.  Reception staff member remains very serious and reaches under the desk and politely hands wg a discrete package with a wink and says 'Madam, I think these might be what you are looking for - housekeeping found them when they went to re-make the room'.
